This was my first time working with epoxy resin. It was very easy to use! It is truly clear when it’s done curing. There is a low odor at first but once it’s cured the odor is gone. I didn’t do anything to get rid of Bubbles and don’t really see any. I was doing very thin layers of resin to seal wood for making a reptile enclosure for our bearded dragon. It worked beautifully. I’m thinking of more projects to use resin with and will be ordering more in the future.

I bought this brand about a year ago and finally got around to doing my counter top. It was still good. The pour was great and no bubbles even without a heat gun. I had the temp in my kitchen about 75 degrees. The two bees are from and underground nest about 20 ft from my front door that I had to get rid of. Hundreds of them in the nest and growing. Yellow jackets and they are very aggressive keep coming in my door and trying to attack me.

This is my first experience with two part resin, aside from two part epoxy adhesive. I bought it to use as an adhesive, because buying the tiny tubes that dry out after a single use was annoying and not so cost effective. I also used it to coat small painted hair clips and pins to protect them and make them shiny. After using it a few times, I’ve had inconsistent results, even in the same mix batch. Some adhered beautifully. Some stayed tacky for weeks, and I had to scrape it off and redo it. Using too thick of a layer definitely had a higher failure rate, as I often found myself adding a little more to make getting a smooth surface easier. It looked a little cloudy when first mixed, but turned clear again and leveled out nicely when spread across a surface. I think the 68 degree temp in my house in winter probably also contributed to the failure rate. I think the failures were probably mostly due to my inexperience as I had fewer failures when I kept the layers thin and put the pieces in warm areas to dry.

This is the first time I've purchased, or used, epoxy resin, so I'll try to review this product in a way that will be helpful to everyone, including experienced users. To start, the product is packaged very well. Both bottles are easy to identify, so it would be difficult to mistakingly pour from the wrong bottle. While a mistake like that wouldn't waste much of the product, it would waste time waiting for it to harden, and realizing, after 24 hours, that it wasn't going to harden. I am so happy that the package included instructions, and those instructions included some very helpful tips. The small booklet was concise, well thought out, and really helped me to better understand how this product works. After mixing my first batch I realized that I may have gotten a bit too aggressive with the actual mixing. It looked like a photo of carbonated water. I think my bubbles had bubbles. Thanks to the instructions, I was able to remove those bubbles quickly, and without a lot of effort. When I mixed a second batch I tried to slow down, while still being thorough, and there was a lot less bubbles, which were easy to remove. After letting both pours harden for 24 hours, and removing the hardened epoxy resin from the silicone molds, I was very happy with the results. I think it hardened and dried more quickly than 24 hours, but the instructions recommended 24 hours, so that's what I did. All together, I'm super pleased with this product. The next time I have a project that requires this type of product, this is what I plan on buying. I really like that the end results provided a crystal clear piece, regardless of the thickness of the item I made, and the thickness of some of the things I made was as much as 4 inches. There's a huge amount of value for the money.

This is my first review of an Amazon product after many years of purchases. I felt I had to do this because of the clear misrepresentation of this epoxy. Full disclosure: I did not open either A or B bottle when they arrived. I stored them on a shelf in my garage for 2 months while I used up my existing supply. Note I live in San Diego, so there was nothing like a freezing temperature during that time. First issue, the epoxy (both A and B) had separated in the bottle. The viscocity of both varied between watery and peanut butter. This included small gray to black bits of "skin" which floated at the top of each bottle. Second issue, the epoxy was a dull gray color (definitely not clear as was advertised). Maybe the company also makes a gray version of this product, but it was not marked as gray anywhere on either bottle, and the Amazon page said it was clear. Perhaps the 2 months in storage was the issue, but if so, why would anybody risk buying or using this stuff?
