Amazon 5-Blade Men’s Razor With 15 Refills Amazon delivered it to me on the second day after ordering - Shipper / Seller- Amazon This is a very good shaving set. I used it today. Because the handle has a good weight, the shaving felt very smooth. The razor with 15 refills is an excellent shaving set for men at a reasonable price. Since similar shaving sets in the market are quite expensive, I had been buying and using twin-blade men’s razors from the open market. Whenever I started shaving with those, getting cuts was common. But the Amazon 5-Blade Men’s Razor didn’t cause a single cut. It is designed in such a way that it moves easily in any direction, making shaving effortless.

Don’t get me wrong, good value and extra blades make this a good offer. 2 things. 1- the shave isn’t that close 2- I can’t seem to get used to shaving edges. Not sure what it is (the blades do appear to be set back behind the moisture strip quite far), but either I’m shaving too far into my beard or not far enough. I’ve had a bulldog razor for the last 4 years. Their blades are great and cut close. I’ll be moving back once I finish these blades out.

If you need an affordable razor blade and hate using those cheap disposable ones then this is for you. In all my years of shaving I've never had such a smooth experience before until today and that's no exaggeration. The blades easily clip on and off the handle so replacing dulled blades is no problem. I've always had to worry about bleeding after a shave and compared to my previous experiences this one has left me with very VERY little in blood. Miniscule amounts. But it's left me with a very clear and smooth face. Overall I am very happy with this product. 5 stars.

The blades are good quality and in my shaving experience, last long. Longer than Gillette if not as long. However, a big negative is how complex it is to put them on to the razor. What makes it more frustrating is that there are no instructions to be found on how to attach them. IF, and that is a big if, they were as simple and intuitive as the other bigger shaving brands, you may not need them. But how difficult is it to have a product team create a quick snapshot especially given the similar feedback around this issue.

Well I thought I would give this razor a try as it seemed a good deal and worked out considerably cheaper than the Gillette blades I have used for years. There was my mistake. Cheaper almost always isn't better and this is one more example proving this. I'm a middle aged Man ( am I allowed to say that I'm a Male?) I have been shaving for more years than I want to remember, so I kind of have a bit of experience of doing this shaving malarkey. My usual routine is only shave when the Mrs is at home, so when she is away for a few days I don't shave. Nor do I undertake many other mundane tasks like cleaning or doing the washing up... I slob out and let the bristles grow for a few days. The usual 4 days of growth are firstly met with my Panasonic trimmer that reduces the bristle to a couple of millimetres followed by a shower and then a shave using Gillette Mach 3 blades. Job done, house cleaned, happy Mrs. However on this occasion and using the newly purchased razors things didn't go well. I could tell the blades were not the same quality a the usuals on the first stroke. The downward stroke from the ear to the jaw... It rasped... and that was downward! Ok, bad blade I thought and after fumbling for about 5 mins to get a new blade fitted I resumed. Nope, this was no better. I could feel it dragging and yanking at the hairs. Ok so lets wash off the foam and get some hot water and new foam applied. This was still no better and in fact it was starting to become painful. Upward strokes were just horrendous and despite my best efforts I was left with the worst shaving rash I have ever had in my life. The skin around my chin looked like a very bad case of eczema and I had to apply some of the Mrs facial cream just to cool it down. Well the whole lot has been given to the good lady. Her leg hairs are like silk anyway so she now has a lifetime supply of razors. Me? I'm back to Gillette, sod the cost! The Mrs and my face thank me!

This razor offers great value and delivers a smooth, close shave. The 5-blade cartridges are sharp and comfortable, even on sensitive skin, and having so many refills included is a big advantage. The handle feels solid and easy to use. The only drawback is that the razor head can detach if too much pressure is applied, which can be a bit inconvenient at times. Le 5 lame fanno un lavoro eccellente, garantendo una rasatura profonda, precisa e scorrevole senza irritare minimamente la pelle. Il manico è solido, ergonomico e si impugna bene anche con le mani bagnate sotto la doccia. Considerando la qualità costruttiva e il numero generoso di testine di ricambio incluse nella confezione, il risparmio rispetto ai marchi blasonati è evidente, ma senza rinunciare alla qualità. Auf der Suche nach alternativen Rasierklingen zum GileXXXX-Rasierer, stieß ich auf die Hausmarke Solimo von Amazon. Ich lese mir tatsächlich oft die Bewertungen durch bevor ich etwas bestelle, was ich noch nicht kenne. Es kommt natürlich vor, dass solche Bewertungen scheinbar gekauft wurden, wenn das Produkt nicht mal im Ansatz den positiven Bewertungen und Produktbeschreibungen entspricht. Schön das man dann hier bei Amazon problemlos zurücksenden kann. Genau so bin ich nach dem Lesen der Bewertungen von dem Solimo-Rasierer vorerst etwas skeptisch herangegangen, da ich mir oft erst die negativen Bewertungen durchlese. Mehr dazu weiter unten. Für den Preis von nicht einmal 20 Euro konnte man hier allerdings kaum etwas falsch machen. Falls das Produkt wirklich unbefriedigend sein sollte, kann man es auch wegwerfen oder zumindest übergangsweise nutzen. Versand und Verpackung Als Prime Mitglied ist der Versand problemlos schnell per DHL an die Packstation geliefert worden. Ich muss hier dazu sagen, daß dieser wirklich schmale Pappkarton in fast jeden Briefkasten passen sollte. Zum Stichwort Pappkarton: Lob an Amazon, dafür auch nachhaltig mitzudenken und keine Plastikverpackung zu nutzen. Die Verpackung ist schlicht und einfach wie es sich für ein Wegwerfprodukt auch gehört. Wünschenswert wäre hier eventuell noch, dass die Rasierklingen auch in einem Pappträger verstaut werden. Die Plastik hat aber wahrscheinlich den Hintergrund, dass die Klingen doch mit etwas mehr Druck direkt in der Klingenpackung angebracht werden. Analog zu anderen Marken. Handling: Das Handling des Rasierers ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das liegt einerseits daran, daß die Klinge hier etwas anders biegsam ist wie beim alten Produkt, welches man über Jahre gewöhnt war und zum anderen am etwas schmaleren Griffstück. Nach einer Woche Nutzung ist hier allerdings nicht mehr viel zu bemerken. Also eher Gewöhnungssache. Das Griffstück ist gummiert und somit rutscht es nicht aus der Hand. Der Klingenkopf lässt sich in alle Richtungen biegen und drehen per Gelenk. Die Klingen werden mit etwas Druck und zusätzlichem Betätigen (nach vorn schieben) des Druckknopfes eingerastet. Auch hier etwas Gewöhnung notwendig. Beim Markenprodukt ging es etwas einfacher. Da dieser Vorgang nicht 50 Mal/Tag stattfindet ist das völlig in Ordnung. Rasur: Einige Bewertungen besagen, daß man sich hier das Gesicht zerschneidet! Also ja, das habe ich tatsächlich auch geschafft. ABER: Das liegt eindeutig daran, daß der Rasierer hier leicht seitlich geführt wurde anstatt gerade Züge zu machen. Die alten Rasierer sind unscharf und man kann dort im Halbschlaf im Gesicht Rumwischen und Kratzen ohne das etwas passiert. Das sollte man bei diesen Klingen eher nicht machen, denn die sind wirklich scharf. Genau das wollten wir doch oder?! Dementsprechend gibt es hier erstmal nichts zu beanstanden, denn auch das Rasieren will gelernt sein 😊. Mit etwas Übung sollte hier die nächste Prozedur auch ohne Verletzungen beendet werden können. Was mir aufgefallen ist, dass der Gelstreifen auf der Klinge bei kleinster Feuchtigkeit wirkt. Das Zeug ist sehr glitschig und lässt die Klinge problemlos über die Haut gleiten. Wesentlich besser als beim alten Markenprodukt! Ob dadurch der Gelstreifen schneller verbraucht ist, weiß ich nicht. So lange hält eine Klinge aber eh nicht. Von daher kein Minuspunkt. Beim alten Rasierer war allerdings bereits nach ein paar Tagen der Gelstreifen weg oder zerbröselt. Das ist hier nicht der Fall. Also Pluspunkt für die Hausmarke. Ergebnis: Die Rasur ist, u.a. auch durch die scharfen Klingen, sehr gut. Auch nach einer Woche kann ich keinerlei Verlust der Schärfe feststellen. Die alten GilXXXX Klingen waren nach zweimaliger Nutzung definitiv deutlich weniger scharf. Soll heißen, hier bekommt man für deutlich weniger Geld, viel mehr Leistung. Im Gegensatz zum alten Produkt muss ich hier kaum nochmal drüberfahren um die letzten Stoppel zu erwischen. Vergleich zum alten Markenprodukt Positiv: + sehr scharfe Klingen + längere Haltbarkeit + günstigerer Preis + nachhaltige Verpackung + Gel-Pads erfüllen ihren Zweck Neutral: ° gerade Führung nötig ° Gewöhnungsphase (wie bei jedem Produktwechsel) Negativ: - bisher nichts Meinerseits kann ich das Produkt weiterempfehlen.
