WEN 36053C 6" Quick Release Track Saw Clamps (2 Pack)

I build model railroads Professionally for AffordableModelRailroads.com recently bought a Wen Track Saw Guide (which I need to return because it said it was universal but it was not) and we bought these clamps to use as hold donw clamps for the track. While the track did not work for us these clamps are universal and work great, especially for the low cost.

You never get a second chance at first impressions, and Wen has hit the mark! So I’m awaiting a track saw and track from Wen, my first experience with them. These clamps arrived ahead of the rest, and I just assumed they be sorta cheesy. The intended task isn’t terribly difficult. But they’re super well done. Gotta say. I have a lot of clamps. These are robust and sturdy. Surprisingly so. Can’t wait to see this saw…

These worked well on my Milwaukee track saw (though I had to grind the part that goes into the track a bit to fit). I use my saw fairly often (probably clamped down about 1,500 times since owning these for 6 months or so). But the plastic the lever is made of failed today. If you won’t be using the clamp a lot, these should be fine, but I would expect them to last longer.

These worked fine with the Wen tracks. I expected much worse quality but they’re plenty strong at least for one track section which is all I used it on so far. Update: After 6 months or so the more I use them the more I love them. The whole track saw system is the best purchase I’ve made in years and these clamps are integral to my success using the system. I have not had a single problem using them.

I've been struggling with "normal" clamps for years when using my WEN track saw, and found these. They fit perfectly in WEN tracks, and probably others as well. Two key features: * They don't protrude above the track, so won't get in the way of the saw. * There are two options for slots, at least on WEN tracks, and these will fit either, depending on how you need to secure the tracks to the workpiece.

I finally got a track saw. The WEN brand had very good rating, and I did not have to take out a second mortgage to buy one. The WEN is just as good as the top brands, and a lot I mean a lot less expensive. The kit came with two clamps. Like the saying goes never can have too many clamps

These work okay, but I can see why they are so cheap. The metal piece that slides into the track are slightly bent upward at different angles between the 2 clamps. I'm not sure which is better or if it matters. It would probably be better if they were bent slightly down because I am getting a slight bowing in the middle of the track when the clamps are tight. My biggest complaint is that the release button is very difficult to press when the clamp is tight. They are already in an awkward place so it's difficult to get any leverage, then you practically have to use 2 hands to depress the button to release it. It's a poor design, but the clamps are cheap.

Works very well with Wen track and can also be used with some t-track and home-made wooden tracks. I really like the quick tightening method. It is quick and easy to set and unset. I have used the screw type on a Makita track and they are a pain to set.

I hesitated buying this style of clamp for a while, primarily because they are somewhat more expensive than regular rapid clamps, but the very flat bar at the top makes saw fence guided straight cuts a lot easier. The fact that these are rapid clamps was a major drawcard, since all of the saw track kits have screw clamps, which I own and find very slow to use. These clamps are quite sturdy—I plan to use them with my Aluminium rectangular tubing as a guide rail. Delivery was great to my apartment building. Thank you driver for making the effort to leave the items in our mail room.

Fit the Evolution guide track. Quick release make them easy and quick to use. Job done.
