Clean. Simple. Looks and works great.
Never thought I'd get excited over a garbage can. But this dual-compartment SimpleHuman has changed all that! It's extremely durable and compact, yet holds a lot of recyclables and trash. And it opens and closes seamlessly and quietly. I'm so hooked on it that I've even "bought" into the Simplehuman ecosystem, purchasing their replacement bags (which fit neatly inside the container for easy pull-out), as well as a small deodorizer that I replace monthly or so.

Love this Can!
simolehuman makes some quality products. While they are expensive and they really want you to use their bags it's a great bin to have. I found that any 13 gallon bags work really well and while it's not as snug of a fit as their own bags I find the price is worth the not snug fit. It looks sleek and I've never had any trouble with the opening and closing of the lid. Overall solid product and I highly recommend it!

Amazing product! I highly recommend
Pricey, but absolutely worth it. The bin feels solid and well-built, and the soft-close lid closure works perfectly every time. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but the overall design and engineering are impressive - I never thought I’d be this excited about a trash can. The color silver looks really polished and elegant. The engineering of trash cans nowadays is amazing. But I still wouldn’t buy those electric automatic ones - that’s too much.

Classy yet dog proof
The hounds have made several attempts on it. The trash has still gone unmolested by their criminal activities while I’m at work. Great can, looks clean. And holds trash, what more could a guy ask for!

Great but too easy to break
Looks great, nice size, easy to purchase bags. However, the mechanism to open lid is weak. We have broken two of them over the past few years but keep buying them because the size, appearance, and availability of bags is so good.

Beyond Surprised!
This is the best garbage can ever. I love how both garbage and recyclables are together. The lid is awesome. Love the length of the lid edge, how it covers the bag and is so easy to handle. Super smooth open and close. Quite, too! Step lever is solid and easy to hit with your foot when opening. Don't hesitate, buy now...you won't be sorry. Oh, great double packaging, too. I was worried it was going to be damaged, not the case.

Just Meh. Too small for my family. Where does the vent go?
My last simple human trashcan did not work out for me as bugs could live in the bottom of it. But I thought I’d give them a shot again because everything else was great. This looks good because I do recycling and it would be nice not to have two trash cans for that. I bought it because it said it was quite large, But in reality the trash side is quite small. Probably good for one or two people, get over that and you might be emptying your trash quite often. It came in an Amazon box, a very large one, neither box nor the original packaging were damaged, but the trashcan itself came dented. Let’s look at the pros and cons. Pros: it looks nice it functions very well The step on and open top work very smoothly The recycling container can be pulled out by a handle it has a space to keep your trash bags on the trashcan Now the cons: the trash side is too small there is nothing to pull out except for the bag so if your bag busts, everything will sit in the trashcan. There is a small vent in the bottom, which prevents the bag from blowing back up when you’re pushing it in. It’s basically an air pressure thing, but I can’t see where that vent goes, which makes me think it goes into the bottom of the trashcan inside the plastic stand (see video). So that means bugs could live in this or if your trash bag does bust and anything goes into that vent, it is going to be in the bottom of your trashcan. This would need to be tested by running some water through there and seeing where it comes out. I’m not going to do that because I’m not keeping the trashcan.
