"TAWASHI" VEGETABLE SCRUB BRUSH

Quick version (after 4 months of use): Still seems like new. I scrub glass, pots and pans, and cast iron. Holds soap decently. No problems in the dishwasher so far. Food debris does get caught in the bristles, and I have to tap it out. Ok, so I got annoyed with always having to restock kitchen sponges. I did a bunch of looking around on the internet for good alternatives and ended up here. For me, it was a quality of life upgrade. I feel like l either always had a ratty sponge, or had it them on my list of things to pick up. After 4 months of daily or use, things to know: How I use it: For just a few after dinner dishes, a few drops of soap get me through a bout 4 plates if I'm careful not to rinse the soap off of it. For a bigger load of dishes, the optimal thing to do is use a small amount of soap in a side container large enough to dip the scrubber into. This way you can re-soap the scrubber as needed and waste nothing. I save my cast iron till the end, get all the soap out of the bristles and then give the cast iron a rub down. Cleaning/Food Debris: Sometimes, especially with rice or eggs, I notice a lot of food debris caught up inside all the bristles. It comes out with some coaxing by tapping against the sink and rinsing. Some times I add a couple drops of soap to it, and rub it together in my hands as if it were a bar of soap. I feel like this is a decent way to sanitize it and wash out debris. I usually throw it in with a load of dishes after a few weeks of use, but I suspect you can do this is little or as often as you'd like. How it's holding up: I've had it for about 4 months, and it seems like new still.

Scrub yer veggies in style! Bristles are stiff but not too much that they break. Durable scrubber gets all that dirt off yer taters.

This little critter is excellent for scrubbing sturdy vegetables, and would probably be good for scrubbing cast iron pans. But it scratches dishes, sheet pans, glassware, everything. I wouldn’t have bought it just for veggies, but I fell for all the reviews that said it’s a good substitute for disposable dish sponges. It’s not, so that search goes on. But it’s a really good heavy duty scrubber!

This is the greatest, completely natural, vegetable or fruit scrubber with a handy looped metal end for hanging with other kitchen items.

I ordered my first one in June, 2020. I just ordered it's replacement because a few of the bristles at the end are broken. I use it daily for everything at the sink, and have done for THREE YEARS. It never stinks, wears like iron, and never damages my dishes, nor anything I clean with it. Yet it does an amazing job of scrubbing my cast iron skillets. I wish I could give it ten 🌟 ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ There is no greater value for use available in any product in the world.

I've had 3 of these over many, many years. I use them for scrubbing vegetables, some pots (not non-stick, the bristles are too stiff) and some odds and ends. Used on a daily basis. I estimate that I get 2 years use out of 1 brush. I don't cook in a restaurant, I'm a home chef. Best damn brush I ever had. Never had bristles "breaking off", never fell apart (maybe a little at the end), never any kind of problem. It becomes a part of my hand; just like a good knife or any good tool. Mine say goodbye by just wearing to the bone (photo attached - still use this one for grunge chores). Never felt the need to disinfect it. Never thought of using it to clean my bathtub/shower - guess you could but I'd reserve that brush for that purpose. Great tool!! Superb value!! Buy it!!

Nichts reinigt meine Edelstahlpfannen so gründlich und gleichzeitig schonend wie ein Tawashi. Ich nutze den Tawashi allerdings nur zur Endreinigung. Zuvor reinige ich Pfannen und Töpfe mit einem Spülschwamm oder einer Spülbürste (plus Spülmittel), damit der Tawashi nicht zu sehr verdreckt und länger hält.

El cepillo Tawashi hecho de fibra de palma procedente de Japón es excelente para limpiar verduras, fregar platos etc. Arranca la suciedad sin dañar las perolas antiadherentes. El unico apunte es que el vendedor me envió un cepillo pequeño como la palma de la mano en una caja enorme (ver foto) con dos capas de plastico de burbujas.
