Reliable, no-nonsense wall charger at a great price
In a household with 5 kids, we are always charging something. I picked up a few of these Amazon Basics 12W USB-A wall chargers to fill out outlets around the house, and they've been completely reliable. The 2.4A output charges phones and tablets at a solid pace. Compact design, no frills, just works. They fit neatly in a standard outlet without blocking adjacent plugs. I've had no issues with overheating or inconsistent charging. If you just need dependable wall chargers at a reasonable price, these deliver. Nothing fancy, but they do the job well and haven't given me any issues. Good buy.

Love this!
Lightweight, perfect size, fits all the cords I already have. Doesn’t get hot while using. Lasted multiple trips. Will be buying more as I need them.

As good as the big brands.
I was looking at these new wall plugs for my office and decided to skip the $15-$20 brand name ones and go for the AmazonBasics one for half that price. I figured it would be your average off-brand product- cheap and mediocre. I was wrong! The material seems nice and solid, it charges my phone fast, and I love that the plug folds in for storage. Overall a great value, and I would recommend it.

Solid Charger
As a standalone charger, this one does pretty good and I like the versatility to charge other items with the USB female plug vs. something hardwired that allows me to charge other USB-type devices in addition to something that uses a micro USB port.Charging time is significantly faster for a Fire tablet vs. using my regular USB charger, but since I haven't - and rarely - fully drain one of my Fires I cannot comment on the "faster" aspect for charging a Fire: I just know it works, and it does seem to charge my phone faster than the plug that came from Verizon. That’s not a shocker as this one is 12 watts vs. 5 for the “normal” charger. This is a replacement model to the original 9W PowerFast charger. Rather than the prior model’s square look this one is longer in a rectangular form and sticks out further from the socket. That seems to add more clutter to a wall socket. This year’s model also the fold-down version of the prongs that gives it a lower profile and is much better for carrying in your laptop bag as it doesn’t get caught up in other cords and easily fits into one of the side pockets in my laptop bag.Amazon has reduced the pricing to a third of what they used to charge for the PowerFast adapters, and they do appear to be built to last: I’ve never had one of the Amazon-branded chargers break as other brands do, I just keep leaving them in random hotels and airports while traveling and have to buy another! If you are looking for a solid and longer-lasting charger for your tablet, I would recommend this one.

Nice
My Firestick was acting up. More often than not it is not enough power, especially with the ethernet adapter attached to it and sucking power. The rating on this is much higher than the 1.0A output on the stock Firestick 4K. Since I'm not using it for travel, I actually wish the prongs did not fold in but that's a nice feature if you do travel. So far so good. Have not had any Firestick spontaneous reboots since I used this. Recommended!

Great portable fast charging block that's now always in my laptop bag
Fast charging block purchased to keep in my laptop bag when I travel. Works perfectly with every device I've tried it with so far including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy 20 & 25, as well as other items that require they be powered / charged via USB. Not ecstatic about the blue LED, but also can't complain for the price.

Yes, it is "BASIC"
If you're looking for speed or power, I wouldn't recommend it.It's worth the price.

Works quite well
I ordered 2 of these usb/ac chargers. They both seem to be working quite well. One seems a little loose when you plug it into the ac outlet so I took off one star. All in all pretty good. I like that they have the blue light that shows they are charging. Pretty pleased with these.
