Needed somethign for my Harley and wanted all black. This is not 100% black as it has chrome pieces. Either way I mounted it and sadly they fit is not perfect on the mount points. I cant seem to get the unit to sit flush and clean but by using the rubber spacer I was able to secure it so it can be used. Will probably replace it at some point but for now it works and secures my helmet when i need it.

Using this on a 2015 Triumph Street Triple. I could not use the entire rubber strip, as it was too crowded, but I was able to cut off a 3/4" piece for each half of the bracket. Also the adhesive is weak. After that mounting was pretty easy. I've only used it a few times, so no opinion about longevity, but the shackle snaps closed firmly and the key works smoothly to release it (I've read reviews where these things are problematic). I also like that it's totally inconspicuous, and the open shackle can't hit the tank. Obviously the shackle culd be easily cut with bolt cutters, so I wouldn't leave my $600 Shoei attached to it for a long period, but it's fine for trips to the store, the gym, even work (for me anyway, as I work in an office in an upscale business park). For me this is an item of convenience rather than security, and for ~$8 it's exactly what I expected. I accidentally purchased the one including the cable, which I'm not using, but it might come in handy at some point, though again, it too could easily be cut if one were so inclined.

Works well and is well designed. You can't get to the screws to take it off unless its opened. Can't beat it for the price. Can be a bit tricky to install, however

Basic but functional. Mounted it on a pannier rack support using the included rubber diameter adapter strip. A large screwdriver or similar tool may be able to pry the shackle open butt it seems adequately secure and a simple way to secure a helmet.
