Using in my second grade math classroom
I often use this during math lessons. Really came in handy when introducing re-grouping in two digit subtraction & there are enough pieces for students to model problems as well. The pieces are very small and not particularly easy to click together or pull apart, but still does the job. Can be used for multiplication as well. For three digit concepts or more, it’s better to get a set specifically for that (with plains and cubes) I love the container, which makes storage and clean up easy as well.

The blocks are 1gram. I teach science and needed something that weighed 1. I saw these and they were perfect to help students understand the concept that protons and neutrons are 1amu. They added these to the nucleus we made and it showed the mass. I have also used the interlocking blocks when we count atoms and elements. There are just enough colors to do multiple examples. Since they have multiple sides that interlock, the students don't just see a straight line of elements

Math and Science multitasker :D
We use these for homeschool both for weights and measures and for arithmetic. I wanted to get connecting blocks to illustrate carrying and borrowing in addition/subtraction and liked that these could multitask :) They do not stay together very well, but since we only make rods of 10 and it's all on table-top it works out very well. I like that there are several colors and there are plenty of each color. A great quantity for the price :) I feel that since they are made to connect they should hold together a bit more and took 1 star, but for the price I'm certainly not complaining a bit! Even in class witht he balance scale, I'd like them to be more firmly held so I can make a real block of 9g--balancing 9 loose blocks against 9 loose blocks is not very "thinky" lol. If I made a 9 cube, she's have to think! so I do, but have to be VERY gentle handling it (especially for any larger). I has a base-10 set but I found 2 problems with it for teaching my 2 children (5yo and 8yo). First, the base-10 set I has purchased had a different color for each size, so 10 yellow "ones" would turn into 1 green "tens". That's confusing. My kid was processing the math as "I trade all these for a new thing" not "This is the same as that". As soon as I got these she "got it" in one lesson. I took 2 small pieces of colored paper and labeled one "ones" and the other "tens". I put (for example) 37 same-colored-not-connected cubes onto the ones and she counted them =37. I had her start grouping up as many into sticks of 10 as she could. I emphasized this was just us organizing and sorting out cubes (and that writing digits into numbers is just a way of us communicating the way they are sorted). She put the grouped 10's onto the tens paper. count the cubes = 37. No "trade me those for something different"--she got it. When we started, she could add and subtract 3 and 4 digit numbers, but had no idea WHAT she was doing--just that she was doing the motions correctly. Now she understands place value fully. The following lessons involved 4 papers set up like a vertical equation (a tens above a tens and a ones above a ones). I'd put (for example) 5 tens-rods on the top tens paper and 3 ones-cubes on the ones paper. Ont the second row I'd place 2 tens-rods and 8 ones-cubes. Subtract. She very quickly understood that "borrowing" was taking a tens rod and making it into 10 ones. Tangible learning. On paper this never "meant" anything to her beyond"you change the 5 to 4 and the 3 to 13" Now she understands what she's actually doing!

Ordered wrong ones (these are tiny)
They were the wrong ones (too small) but they were still pretty looking.

Good and helpful for education
It helped my daughter add two different multiplication equations together more easily. So I think this product is very helpful because the amount of blocks it ces with even if they are kinda cheaply yand if you try to build anything with them it isn't stable. But for education I believe it helped a lot.

Unit cubes
Great idea but my students (and myself) had a lot of trouble breaking them apart which made them hard to use.

Awesome manipulatives
Nice varieties of color. Snap together securely, but after about 25 tall become unstable. They are small but are exactly what I needed. I use these with the Learning Resources Pan Balance (LER0897) scale sold here on Amazon. I use them in this way. I put 20 cubes in one bucket of the scale and 2 cubes in the other. Obviously the scale becomes unbalanced. It is then up to my son to say how many cubes are needed to create equal balance. Then we are able to prove his answer by placing into the bucket the number of cubes he stated. It is immediately noticeable if he's correct or incorrect. We are now using them to prove our groupings for multiplication.

Excelente calidad en material, ensamble y cantidad. Considerar que el ensamblaje es bilateral y no multilateral. Recomendado para actividades de conteo y construcción de bloques con cierta limitación.
