Riedel Ouverture White Wine Glass, Set of 2

How can I say this... Riedel wine glasses are perfection because they tic each and every box. Hear me out: These glasses are appropriately sized at a little over 7 inches in height, as opposed to 2 feet tall, with a gigantic futuristically shaped bowl that can accomodate the contents of an entire bottle. (Hard pass on those obnoxious things) These have that classic bulby bowl for a satisfying swirl and quality handblown craftsmanship. All that being said, there's no point in any of it if the glass doesn't have a razer thin rim to get that sip right where it needs to go. I'm fully impressed. Don't toss your 4 dollar Target rolled-rim glass though.... just have your disliked houseguest use that one right?

This is my favorite wine glass and I have been using the red wine version for years. This glass is perfect for everyday wine drinking, red or white wines are fine. Ice cubes? Go for it. It's a perfect 'intermediate' size, much closer to a traditional white wine glass than a red. You can pour yourself a nice small half glass, something like 125 ml. This is a small glass but the rim opening is wide and the glass is thin, so drinking is perfect. I really don't need another wine glass. But wine snobs will cringe drinking a good red wine from this glass. I've ordered several sets of two over the years. Why? Although these glasses are fairly hardy for crystal, the bowl will break if you tip the glass over on granite or get a little too aggressive drying them. You can break the stem.

I feel in love with this glass after using it in a Steakhouse, and I just had to have it! These glasses are big, but not too big/comical. I love having a smaller amount of wine in my glass so that it may cool and breath, and these glasses allow me to have a heavier pour while still getting the same affect as a smaller pour in a regular sized glass. These glasses feel delicate yet sturdy enough that I am not afraid to use it. I think these would make an excellent gift for any red wine lover.

Does exactly what we wanted done. Holds the wine. Fits in the dishwasher. Looks pretty good. Does not cost too much. We don't ever mistake it for our Rosenthal, but we would never use the really elegant stuff for everyday (because we are not so elegant every day). After a while (and despite our best efforts) it spots. Has not gotten milky (we do run the dishwasher on crystal). This is life. I have gotten spos as well.

We love these glasses (white wine) & have been buying them for years. The fine restaurant where we usually have New Years Eve dinner uses them on the tables & also sells them in their wine & accessories store, & from time to time has a 20% off sale. Because we're incredibly careless, we break some during the year so it's another part of our New Year's Eve tradition to buy a couple more. IN NO WAY AM I BLAMING REIDEL! Things that have happened include: just tonight I banged the base of one against the edge of the marble countertop - didn't break. We've carelessly loaded the dishwasher, putting a glass where something heavier would crash against i, but finding a broken glass in the dishwasher rarely happen. I've knocked a few off a nightstand onto a hard surface, or when having a glass of wine while soaking in the bath, I've hit a couple onto the tile floor. + We have cats - IYKYK. I'd rather replace the ones we break (reasonably priced) than have glassware so thick & unattractive that it would withstand what we subject it to.

Fantastic glasses; good value. Although I have broken countless wine glasses in my lifetime, I still enjoy wine more in half-way decent glasses. What's worse than enjoying a decent wine and seeing the seam visible on your wine glass? Someone who reviewed these glasses before me wrote "wine tastes better in Riedel glasses." You know what? He was right! These white wine glasses are nicely balanced, reasonably priced, and well made. They are a little on the small side, but then again, it's white wine. Now to see how long they last before I break them...

ワイン初心者なのですが、それらしいワイングラスで飲んでみたいと思い購入しました。まず、届いてみて開けた感想として予想していたワイングラスのふた周りは大きかったです。ダブルマグナムと言うのは伊達じゃありませんでした。一緒にいた友達に噴き出される位には。ただ、使用してみるとワインの香りが非常に感じやすく、その面では大変満足しております。大きさもあり、洗う面倒さやしまう場所などを考慮した上で購入されるのであればオススメのグラスであると思います。

Sturdy and perfectly designed. We've been using these at home for over 15 years and have been, BY FAR, our favourite champagne glasses. Whenever we go to parties or restaurants and have to drink from other champagne glasses, it's always a bit of a let down. You won't regret purchasing these, they are perfect!
