Craft your own glass of Nuka-Cola, a bowl of BlamCo Mac & Cheese, and more with the recipes in Fallout: The Official Cookbook. Based on the irradiated delicacies of the world of Bethesda Entertainment’s Fallout , this Vault-Tec–approved cookbook provides fans of the award-winning series with recipes inspired by their favorite Fallout foods . Whip up tasty versions of the Mirelurk egg omelette, throw some deathclaw meat on the grill, and re-create BlamCo Mac & Cheese with Fallout: The Official Cookbook. Review: Good read - Great recipes that actually work. Kids love it and have a great time making it too. Fun for everyone great instructions. Review: Finally! I managed to buy this! - Definitely a good little cookbook, I bought this and the two Elder Scrolls books as well. This one seems to need a bit more expensive ingredients for a majority of the dishes though, which isn't a bad thing but just something to point out. Good stuff, good food. Great in the Wasteland.

"Welcome to Vault-Tec life!"
I've had this book for almost two weeks now, and I've enjoyed preparing several meals out of it so far! Each recipe has a full-page picture on the opposite page accompanying it. There are loads of humorous notes and descriptions in the book, as well as some nice artwork on the inside covers and some clever nods to the game (such as the S.P.E.C.I.AL. stats). The quality of the book itself is also great; it's hardcover and printed on high-quality paper. The recipes range from appetizers to desserts and everything in between, and they all have clearly-written instructions including prep time and servings. Some are more difficult to prepare than others but there's many that even a novice cook could pull off with ease. The one thing that was a slight disappointment was that there are few clear instructions on how to adjust the recipes in case you need to substitute ingredients. Some recipes call for ingredients that may be somewhat difficult to find, and having some dietary restrictions myself that may be an issue for some buyers. However, this is a problem I've found with most other cookbooks that aren't specifically tailored for people on a special diet. Overall I think the author did a great job of including a wide variety of recipes, and many of them have ingredients such as coconut milk if you're lactose intolerant. There are even some vegetarian recipes included as well, like the meatloaf. Also, the recipes that call for ingredients such as bison work well with other meats. I tried one with beef and it cooked up wonderfully! Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the Nuka-Cola recipe was more generic than the 17 fruit flavors the game states it has. I wasn't expecting to add 17 different fruits into a drink recipe anyway but there's really only a handful of citrus and cinnamon flavors that come through to differentiate it from regular cola. The Nuka-Cola Quantum recipe seems better in this regard since there's also fruit punch and pomegranate included. Aside from that the drink recipes seem to be tasty, and there's a nice amount that are non-alcoholic as well. I got what I expected and I didn't find the content of the book to be out of setting. For what it is (a Fallout-branded cookbook) I think the author did an excellent job and I've enjoyed flipping through it just to read the notes. If you're either a fan of the game or just a chef looking for some unique spins on recipes (the chili comes to mind) then this is a must-have. Looking forward to the Elder Scrolls one as well!

Im a fallout zealot
The fallout,2,bos,tactics,vanburen,3,nv,4,76, that dumb overseer phone game. Iv played me some fallout. Iv got the lunch box set, the platinum chip prerelease PlayStation GameStop exclusive box set that was under produced despite nv not running on PS very well. Got the pip boy, I even had a real pipe rifle back when they were legal. So I had to get the fallout cookbook right?... WTH. How are you going to make a fallout cookbook that doesn't have a single mention of " cram " or utilize any spam in the recipes? It's got no muttfruit. There is a little bit of flavor text throughout the book but most of it isn't even aligned with canon. It's literally a cook book where someone crossed out the name of the recipe and wrote in one to make it sound like fallout. I have to show it Mercy though because it's got old lady Palmer's sweet rolls and deathclaw egg omelettes. Though the recipe for them is kinda weird and not yummy sounding. Who puts yogurt 3 carrots mayonnaise ham chives and flour and a whole apple in an omelette? And paprika, heavy cream, Onion powder, honey, vinegar. No thanks I'm that one. Id buy it as a completionist, but be prepared for a phoned in effort.

Cooking Like a True Vault Dweller – A Must for Fallout Fans
Quick Summary: I just got the cookbook and haven’t made any recipes yet, but I’m excited that I FINALLY got this book. If you want this as a collectible or a taste of what it would be like to set the world on fire, then this cookbook is for you. Why I Bought It: When I tell you that I’ve been trying to get my hands on this book for a year, I’m not joking. This cookbook was sold out every time I looked for it. I absolutely loved Fallout 4, and when the show came out, I was even more excited when a lot of merch came to light. Much to my chagrin, the cookbook was the most popular. I’m happy to add this to my collection. Now, if I can get my hands on a Pip-Boy, we’ll be cooking. First Impressions: Packaging: It wasn’t packaged in any unique way besides packing paper to keep it from moving in the box, and it wasn’t wrapped in plastic. Overall Look: This cookbook definitely has the appeal of a futuristic 1950s era. It has clever descriptions and lore from the vault dweller who wrote it. Recipe Instructions: It provides substitutions on specific recipes for dietary restrictions (see page 9) and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points for each recipe. Pros & Cons: ✅ It has so many recipes that I wanted to try from the game ✅ I love the descriptions from the Vault Dweller that were added to the recipe. ✅ I finally got my hands on it after a year. I am so happy having it, even if I don’t use it. ❌ It doesn’t have a recipe for a Stealth Boy Best For: ➡️ Fans of the Fallout games or the show. Even ghouls will have fun with this. Final Verdict: ➡️ I recommend it. Once I make something, I’ll see if I can update my review. Perhaps, a Thanksgiving feast?

Better Than it has Any Right to Be!
I brought this as a fun distraction for me 13-y-o son. Instead of silly junk food this cookbook has very delicious recipes. Every single thing I've made has a depth and complexity that rivals America's Test Kitchen cookbooks! The Blamco mac & Cheese is better than most home made recipes because of the spices and fontina cheese. The Chicken en crout needs about double the spice rub for the chicken, and after we did that to coat it all properly, we were amazed. The Nuka Cola is just plain better than store bought cola with a depth of citrus and spice that can only be achieved by brewing it fresh. Can't wait to keep exploring this cookbook.

The Wastelands Cook Book
Any Vault Dwellers dream! This is an amazing cook book filled with fun recipes directly from, or inspired by the Fallout series! From the Rad-tastic drink itself Nuka Cola to Mystery Meat Wrapped Nukalurk, there are so many great recipes to try. Some ingredients, such as vanilla beans, may be hard to come by, but the author gives plenty of suggestions for replacements and substitutes. All recipes seem like they could be made vegetarian or vegan if the cook chooses! 100% recommend but make sure you have Rad-Away on hand!
