Amazing Comprehensive Health Resource!
The is a huge hardback book, over 1000 pages. It is an incredible health resource and one of the best household healthcare books I've come across. This is definitely something that would be beneficial to any household in need of help for illness and first aid-- and then some! From a mechanics standpoint, because of its massive content, it has not only a generous detailed table of contents in its beginning pages, but there is also a "Find It Fast" TOC printed directly on the inside covers (the front inside cover has herbs, nutrition and disease, and the back inside cover has hydrotherapy). There is a disease index and a general index at the back of the book. The book is in encyclopedia format. Sections are identified with different colored tabs on the page edges so you can thumb to the section you want quickly. Since this is a Seventh Day Adventist author, Ellen White's 8 Laws of Health are covered in full. There are several pictures of the Savior and plenty of scriptural support for the principles this book teaches. There are writings about faith and healing. There is a dietetic section where nutrients are covered in full. There is another section on chemicals and food additives to avoid as well. There is a section on pregnancy (including a list of herbs that are safe to use during pregnancy, and herbs that are not), nursing, infant nutrition and childhood problems and infections. There is a section for how to deliver a baby, too. The herb section covers "126 of the most important herbs" and there are color photos of them. There are instructions for which parts of the plant to use, how to prepare them and what they are used for. Where appropriate, there are warnings and contraindications. There is a section of pictures on poisonous plants to watch out for, too (also, poisonous critters, with photos). There is a disease section for each body system and how to treat them. 95 of Dr. John Harvey Kellogg's healing formulas are included in the disease section. There is a basic human anatomy section with illustrations of the different systems of the body. This is the first book I've owned that goes thoroughly into the various ways you can do hydrotherapy. It lists 126 different water therapy treatments to facilitate circulation, speedier healing and pain relief. The book has photos and illustrations showing techniques, but they also made a companion DVD to go with it called Hydrotherapy in Action. It can be found on Internet Archive. This section shows how to use compresses, poultices and liniments with hydrotherapy. For preppers, there is a section for how to prepare for emergencies and they show many first-aid techniques. The Hippocratic Oath is written out. There is a list of resources for where to buy herbs and vegetarian cookbooks, and where to find lifestyle centers. The final section is called "A Better Way of Life" which covers more spiritual things and a testimony of Christ. All in all, a powerhouse of wisdom in this book. I highly recommend this resource.

Best thing i ever bought
This book! It has so many remedies and we use it all the time. People will call me with issues and ask me to look them up. So many diseases, issues, and conditions with ways to help each. The book was a little pricey I thought but after receiving it, its definitely worth every penny!

A massive tome of information
I agree with the other reviewers that this book is a massive tome of health information, more than anyone would ever need. A lot of attention and detail went into creating this resource, and everyone should have it in their health book library if they are truly interested in the healthy body. I love the 8 laws of health that Barbara O'Niell shares on her YouTube videos at the start of each episode. I agree that they are truly pillars of health that we should all adhear to for optimum health. I will be referring to this book quite often and it was a must for my collection.

Astounding. Save yourself some money and shelf space and just buy this ONE book.
If you buy ONE natural home health care book, buy this. It's worth every cent. Absolutely incredible. I have a Master of Herbology degree and an acupuncture degree but nevertheless I'm learning so much from this! Especially the non-herbal treatments like water therapy. It's just such a tour de force. If you know anyone interested in natural health, anyone starting a family, or just...anyone! Buy them this book!

This book is a welcome addition to my medicinal library. I love how large and detailed it is. I haven’t gone through it thoroughly yet, but I like what I’ve seen. I also enjoy the scripture at the end of each ailment…food for thought and reflection. I know this book will be one I hand down to my son.
