Magnet so weak that it pretty much falls off on the weight of its own gravity. It's really too bad because the cable itself and everything else is better than the OEM Apple product, but it's pointless if "magsafe" connector doesn't work. Waste of money.

I purchased this on March 5 and use it with the original Macbook Air m2 charging plug. The first problem surfaced on April 10, just outside the return window. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I tried two outlets and a surge protector, but it did not charge. The next day, I plugged it in and it immediately started charging. It repeated this behavior intermittently for the rest of April, but it worked mostly as expected during May. In June, my surge protector could no longer charge unless it was plugged directly into the wall. Well, it charged as long as the cord was perfectly straight. If there was any angle or rise, the cord light would go out and it would stop charging. Now, it doesn't work at all. Once again, I am on the hunt for a decent cord to charge my Mac. I do not reccomend this product because of its low quality and lack of durability.

My Macbook Pro was not charging with its USB-C to magnetic 3 cable, which meant that I had a bad cable and/or a bad port. Checking to see if I had a bad port would have been way more costly so I decided to purchase this cord and see if it worked. If it did not work, I could just return it and I then knew that I had a bad port. When the cable arrived, I connected it into my laptop and…viola…I had power. The cord worked, as good, if not better than the factory one did (when it worked). The cord is high quality and feels durable. The cord has a braided cover and I chose to be a bit exotic and get it in blue. The magnet attaches very securely to the port, and can also be easily removed with a little force. I really like this cable. Replacing it has allowed me to free up a USB-C port since I no longer have to use it to charge my laptop. I also like using the magnetic port because of the quick release capability. A cable being ripped out of the USB-C port could cause damage to the port. I recommend this cable. Please just ensure that it is a compatible replacement.
