Outstanding Dive Light with Exceptional Performance
I recently purchased the SD1500 Dive Light, and it has completely exceeded my expectations for a very affordable scuba dive light. Here are the standout features: 1. Brightness and Modes: The 1500 lumens deliver incredible brightness, providing clear visibility even in dark or murky waters. The three lighting modes (high, medium, low) are versatile and allowed me to conserve battery life as needed. 2. Rechargeable and Efficient: It’s convenient to recharge between dives, and the power indicator ensures I know when a charge is needed. 3. Waterproof and Durable: True to its description, this flashlight is fully submersible and performed flawlessly during multiple night dives at depths of over 20 meters. The build quality feels sturdy and reliable, with no leaks or fogging in the lens. 4. Ease of Use: The grip and intuitive controls make it easy to operate even while wearing gloves. 5. Safety and Reliability: Having a dependable light like this is crucial for night diving, and the SD1500 gave me complete peace of mind. Verdict: If you’re a scuba diver looking for a reliable and high-performing dive light, the SD1500 is an excellent choice. Its brightness, build quality, and thoughtful features make it a simple tool for underwater adventures. Highly recommended!

Powerful Beam and Peace of Mind in the Murkiest Conditions!
As a long-time diver and underwater photographer, I’ve tested a lot of lights over the years — from entry-level models to professional setups — and the Odepro SD1500 genuinely impressed me on its first dive. I recently took it out to the Blue Lagoon in Huntsville, Texas, a freshwater quarry known for its very limited visibility (less than 5 feet on a sunny day). Despite the poor conditions, this compact powerhouse cut through the murk like a laser beam. Right away, I noticed how tightly focused and bright the beam is. The 6° spot pierces even heavy silt and cloudy water, which made it perfect for both illuminating nearby objects and signaling dive buddies. In this kind of environment, a wide-angle light would just reflect back particles and create a white haze — but the SD1500 stayed clear and crisp, letting me actually see the diver in front of me instead of a cloud of backscatter. The 1500-lumen output feels genuine. I could easily pick out color and texture on rocks, gear, and fish that would otherwise have been invisible in the gloom. When my buddy swam a few feet away, all I had to do was sweep the beam across and they instantly knew where I was. Without this light, we’d have lost visual contact completely. I also appreciate the solid construction and thoughtful design. The anodized aluminum body feels rugged and perfectly balanced in the hand — easy to hold, even with thick gloves. The single side-button control is simple to operate underwater, cycling smoothly between High, Low, and Strobe. The battery indicator ring around the button is a small but very handy feature — it glows green, red, or flashing red depending on your battery level, so you’re never guessing how much juice you have left before the next dive. Runtime was excellent. I kept it on and off throughout a long afternoon of diving and signaling, and it never showed any dimming or overheating. Odepro’s claim of over two hours at full brightness seems accurate. The Type-C rechargeable 3400 mAh battery charges quickly and holds power well, and the included spare O-rings are a nice touch for maintenance peace of mind. The light’s compact size also makes it versatile — small enough to clip to a BCD or tuck into a pocket, yet powerful enough to serve as a primary dive light in low-vis conditions. For travel or quarry dives where you need reliability without bulk, this is ideal. If you’re diving in Texas quarries, lakes, or anywhere with poor visibility, this light is a game changer. It’s also perfect for night dives, cave exploration, or as a strong backup to a video light setup. The narrow, intense beam makes it an excellent signaling tool underwater, and the strobe mode would be great for emergency use or group communication. After this dive, I can confidently say the Odepro SD1500 has earned a permanent spot in my dive kit. It’s bright, dependable, easy to use, and built like a tank. For the price, it’s an incredible value — and genuinely performs like a professional-grade dive light.

Good value without sacrificing quality
Very nice torch light and good value at an affordable price point without sacrificing quality. Easy to use, illuminates brightly, and versatile for novice to avid divers alike. The SD1500 is compact in size which is easy to store in small pockets and storage slots. The SD1500 feels very light weight while handling, the aluminum construction is not bulky or heavy. A nice feature is that the battery compartment is actually sealed with a triple O-ring design, a good feature to ensure the light remains sealed and dry. Comes with two 3400mAh 18650 batteries, a USB type A to USB type C charging cable, three spare O-rings, lanyard, and the SD1500 light. Overall a good value and worth using.

Bright and Reliable Dive Light
The Odepro SD1500 Dive Light has been a great addition to my dive gear for a reasonable price of < $40. The light is very bright and provides a strong, focused beam that makes it easy to see in darker or low-visibility areas underwater. The build quality feels solid, though I haven’t had the dive light long enough to comment on long-term durability. The back of the flashlight has one islet for a connection to your BCD, though I wish that it had two for redundancy sake. Operating the flashlight is simple with a button press and switching modes underwater is relatively easy to manage even with gloves on. Further, having a USB-C charge point directly on the battery is a huge perk, especially for this price range as a replacement flashlight battery itself costs ~$20 just for this feature. The video with the sheep crab is filmed with this light Odepro SD1500 to show the great lighting this device offers underwater at approximately 90 feet. On the comparison picture, the Odepro SD1500 is on the left, and the DGX 1000-6 is on the right. Sure the DGX 1000-6 is brighter and has a slightly tighter light beam, but are those 2 characteristics worth it for double the flashlight price? Overall, the Odepro SD1500 is a powerful, dependable dive light that offers great performance for the price, and can be used either as a primary or secondary light depending on your budget!
