Perfect PTZ camera for portability or where WiFi isn’t available
I love this camera, it came with 100mb for free to test connectivity but I didn’t need that because I have unlimited data with my cell phone carrier and used my sim from a free line for this camera. This suits my needs for camera coverage where there isnt WiFi coverage. Also it is solar powered so I don’t have to worry about finding a way to get an external power source to its location, I live in California so solar powered products are very common here. I absolutely love picture clarity, connecting is fast, it’s a PTZ so I could check surrounding areas when motion detection alerts my phone. I use an xfinity sim for this and the speeds are amazing keeping the picture clarity as good as WiFi. I did try my t-mobile sim with this but unfortunately they don’t have nearly as fast speeds nor coverage in my area, they do offer plans from the company for 4G but since I had a free line with my carrier I didn’t need to sign up for it. Very easy installation and connecting was just as easy. We plan to take it on a trip with us when we go glamping and I’m excited to see how it performs in the wilderness

Disappointed After Power Outage – Wanview W7 Outdoor Camera
Disappointed After Power Outage – Wanview W7 Outdoor Camera At first glance, the Wanview W7 white outdoor camera looks sleek and modern – it definitely adds a stylish touch to the exterior of the house. The image quality was decent, and initial setup via the app was fairly straightforward. However, the problems started right after the first power outage. Once the power was restored, the camera failed to reconnect to Wi-Fi. Despite multiple attempts to reset the device (both soft and hard resets), it simply would not connect again. The power LED was on, so it’s clear the device is receiving power, but it becomes completely unresponsive in terms of connectivity. The camera doesn’t broadcast a setup Wi-Fi signal, nor does it respond to any of the reset actions. This is incredibly frustrating because a security camera should be reliable – especially after something as common as a temporary power cut. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested in the manual and even reached out to support with no success. In short, while the design and initial performance are promising, the lack of automatic reconnection and the complete failure to recover from a power interruption make this product unusable for me. I can’t recommend it if you expect consistent reliability from your outdoor surveillance system.

Wansview 4G LTE Cellular Camera
I’ve been using the Wansview security camera for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for keeping an eye on my house and dogs. Setting it up was super straightforward—just plug it in, connect it to 4G, and you’re good to go. The video quality is surprisingly clear, even at night, which I didn’t expect for the price. The app is really user-friendly, and I love that I can check in on my pups anytime from my phone. The motion detection feature is a nice bonus—it sends me alerts when the dogs are moving around or (ahem) causing mischief. I also appreciate the two-way audio; it’s fun to talk to them and watch them get all confused trying to find me. 😂 Overall, this camera gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home, and it’s super affordable compared to some other options out there. If you’re looking for a solid, no-fuss camera to keep an eye on your home or furry friends, I’d definitely recommend it!

Terrible camara!!!
We have 13 Wansview camaras. This is the only one that will not stay connected. It worked for about 24 hours. Terrible!!!! If this is the direction of the brand we might be changing. Very upset with product. Update: This camera requires an individual wifi plan to be purchased to be able to use it. Each one of these cameras require its own plan. Buyer beware not like the other camaras sold that can hook up to your home wifi! Now in description of camara: Built-in SIM Card with Cellular Data Plan: This non wifi security camera has a 4G LTE SIM card with 300MB of trial data. You can renew the unlimited data plan at $14.99 monthly to $149.99 yearly for each camera on the app after the trial data runs out. Please note that the camera only can be used in the US

Easy install with excellent image quality both day/night and great functionality
The camera is easy to install on any flat surface with the three supplied fixings. Firstly install the app on your smartphone and create an account if you do not already have one. Then Power on the camera by plugging it into a wall socket, wait for the connection to the cellular network which is confirmed audibly. The 1st time I did this, it took a few minutes but the camera will continue to state that it is connecting to the network. Once the connection is complete you can then add it to the app. When putting the QR code in front of the camera, you can tap on it to make the code bigger and easier for it to recognize. I set up the camera in the warmth of the house first, before moving it outside. So that I could make sure everything connected correctly before putting it outside in the cold. Connecting to the network was much quicker the second time. In the app you can customize the camera for you personal needs such as detection areas and sensitivity or leave it in its default. Check in the settings for any firmware updates that might be available. The camera access' a virtual network unless you are out of range, in which case you can use your cellular network. The virtual network sim card is pre loaded with 100 MB and can be topped up through the app. The camera also has the provision for a microSD which I would recommend installing. You can add the camera to Alexa, etc. I added the Skill to my Alexa unit and can now I can display the camera feed to it.
