First impression of the parts: The parts were chipped and scratched up right out of the box, as if it was used. The instructions were horrible, mislabeled and unlabeled parts in the manual made me take apart the bed twice. This whole bed can be built in under 1.5 hours. After being built: pros: - Good use of space, full xl over queen, lots of room between the two beds to be able to sit up. - Sturdy, there's enough pressure holding this thing together that the top won't break, you can do pull-ups off the side if your under 200 lbs. -very easy to build just don't go based off of the instructions alone, keep an eye on the holes for the slacks for the top bunk and the gap for the stairs. cons: -Overpriced, the quality and overall look isn't worth half of what is being charged for the product. -Loud, there the inserts in the bed for the slacks are uneven and have 3 randomly oversized holes that cause the metal to rattle and make noises everytime someone moves or even walks around the bed. -The stairs are extremely uncomfortable to use, just a 1 inch wide hallow beam, would be the simplest fix to just make them wider. -the top mattress will need a board or something, you can't just place a mattress on top because the slacks are just too thin.
