An honest review from a long time aquarist: First and foremost I want to call attention to the fact that this product is a fish medication. The only two reasons you're looking to buy this are A) your fish are sick or B) you're looking for quarantine meds for new fish. I've seen an alarming number of reviews here claiming this product "killed my fish." No, it didn't. Your fish were sick, thus why you went shopping for fish meds in the first place. The illness is the most likely culprit, not the meds. I also saw a review with a picture, and the tank water was completely clouded. That is not going to happen if you *follow the dosing instructions*. In order to cloud 40+ gallons of water, you had to have used half the bottle, or more, and have practically 0 water movement. Yes, it is white. Yes, you can see where it's going in your tank. No, it does not hang around if you have sufficient flow. The third and final complaint I'll address is the smell. Again, it's a fish med. You're not buying this to smell good, you're buying it to treat your fish. It's not bad, even if you don't care for herbal fragrances. Now, on to the meat and potatoes if why you're probably reading this; Does it work? Yes. My fish experienced an outbreak of ich. This is entirely my fault as I got excited and did not follow QT protocol. Not proud of it but it did. Upon noticing the symptoms, I immediately ordered the Herbtana, as it was the only one that could deliver next day. Normally I would use Ich X, but this was faster and I needed fast while I waited for my Ich X to arrive. In the day that followed, I lost 5 fish before it arrived including my longest living tank inhabitant, which was painful but I can only blame myself. I got the package and immediately began dosing procedure as directions indicated. I lost 2 more fish in the next 2 days, but not because of this product. They were simply too far gone. By Day 3, my remaining fish had a noticeable improvement. By Day 5, all white spots had vanished, even from my White Skirt Tetras which I assumed were goners because they had it BAD. One thing of note, I did crank my tank temperature up to 85 to speed the life cycle of the parasite: this is important. The high temp won't kill ich, but when used in conjunction with Herbtana it did eliminate the threat. Read the bottle thoroughly and follow instructions to the letter. This product doesn't actually kill ich, and it doesn't claim to. It simply strengthens your fish's slime coat and boosts immunity in your fish. That's it. It helps them fight of the ich themselves. Being that it is still present in your tank even though symptoms have subsided, continue use to the manufacturers directions. If you use it for a week or so after symptoms disappear, the ich parasite should die off on its own by then. To be safe, water change, wait a day, do another water change and administer Ich X, which does kill the parasite. Or, invest in a quality UV filter. In summary: Herbtana works. It's easy to use if you're not illiterate and have a little patience. Good luck, and I hope your fish recover smoothly. o7

Our child won what we thought was a multi colored goldfish from the Spring Fair. We purchased a tank and all of the cycling needs to provide him with a healthy new home. The fish would barely eat and mostly stayed in a corner of the tank. His fins were always clinched and he rarely left the corner. The water tests and temperatures were excellent but the fish was not improving. He began to develop a dull and white caste over his body and we realized that he was likely suffering from something else aside from stress. We were not sure if the fish would survive but we wanted to do all that we could to save him. We found Herbatana online and were drawn to its use of herbal remedies and ability to treat a variety of skin/parasite conditions. We immediately began treatment on the day that arrived and followed the 10 day instruction plan. By day 4, our fish was actually swimming around in the tank a little more. We are sure if it was a result of the toxins being released but we noticed that he would somwtimes erratically dart across the tank and brush against the gravel. By day six, his color had lightened dramatically and he was no longer displaying the erratic behavior. His appetite had also increased and he was even had waste excretion. By the end of the 10day treatment plan, he looked and behaved like a completely different fish. He was well on his way to a full recovery and we continued to use the "preventative" treatment instructions. He has now been with us for 1 month and he is extremely active, social, and greedy! His body and scales are shiny and vibrant and dark splotches that we thought to be a part of natural pigment are completely gone. He sings with us and flutters around his tank all day. I never had good experiences with the survival of fair fish as a child and we thought that our child was going to lose their 1st pet. Herbatana healed our goldfish and gave us a happy and healthy addition to the family!!

Has cured my tangs of ich twice now. The first time was with a hippo tang, which was better after 5 days. The second in the before-after photos was a grueling 2 weeks with a purple tang. I’ve had tangs all die before when they get ich. It is unfortunate that it can’t be used with a UV sterilizer, carbon, or protein skimmer, but that just means lots of water changes. I used this in combination with Selcon food soaking.

Get ready to kill hurt or disable your fish and ready to drain giant 60-75-90-125-150-180 gallon tanks and then need help to move them outside and give them a windex or vinegar clean as this stuff needs all remnant removed This was 36-48 hours after dose per directions and per confirming via the manufacturer both by phone and email. I then called back to tell them what happened and sent emailed pics and they blamed my water. So went a step further took a liquid test of all parameters and strips test and mailed them certified return receipt which I got the signature that they signed and they said they didn’t receive 😂 capitalism at its finish. Then emailed results of both tests and sent them a sample of my water. As you can tell I have discus. Prob the hardest fish to raise freshwater and notoriously die even when parameters are perfect and as you can tell mine are healthy and happy and the water is perfect and They have been terrible. I understand it’s only 20$ but if they take $20 from 1-2-3 million people for a terrible product, well that is one heck of a lottery win!!! I’ve filed complaints with Amazon with manufacturer, with my state BBB and Federal BBB and a business litigation firm to try and get a settlement for the millions of customers that have been bam boozled Pics Does not work tried for worms, parasites, water issues, ick and Zoa pox to name a few and did nothing on several tanks and after talking to manufacturers who have been no help at all Way overpriced for a natural remedy that doesn’t works. You want natural that’s fine but there are better products sold even at ur LFS or BOX fish store that are 1/3-1/2 the price with quality guarantee results or money back RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT NOTHING BUT HEARTACHES AND HEADACHES AND A LIGHTER WALLET AND BANK ACCOUNT

I have mixed feeling about this. I was using it for months with great results. One of my guppies had a strange looking eye thing. Two doses of this and it was all cleared up. Then I had a massive die off! (6 tetra and 1 guppy). I didn’t change the water or anything else unusual that day; I just used this product because that guppy wasn’t looking as perky as usual. I think this was 100% my user error because I didn’t shake the product. Please, SHAKE BEFORE USE!!! One star off for not having a huge font on the bottle to remind you. Otherwise this product seems to work very well.
