Better than expected! I have used quite a few things from Micro Ingredients now and have come to love and trust them for high quality products. This one is no exception. It tastes great and isn't too salty. It is a very high quality. Although it is not cheap, it is a good value for the quality. It mixes into things like pasta and rice quite well, but it is also convenient to sprinkle onto things, like popcorn or other things add that cheddar flavoring. It has a good shelf life and the resealable bag helps it to stay fresher longer. The grandchildren like the vivid color. It is just a very basic, Better than expected! Best addition to so many dishes, or add a punch of flavor to your mac and cheese, any pasta, rice, potatoes, popcorn, sauces, on top garlic bread etc etc. My home made baked mac and cheese has never been better. I've looked everywhere for the right , easily mixed, sharp cheddar f!avor, that's actually real cheese. Good ingredients, quality , great texture, just the right saltiness in it too. I'm how I decided to by yet another brand of this cheese topping addition, but I'm so pleased to have finally found the one that more than works for al! My needs. Its delicious, creamy and everything we've put it on has always been better for it. The search is done, over. I pray this brand continues to make this. My family loves it, and so do I.

This stuff is delicious! Idk what to say more about dried cheese, except that it tastes great and I think you should buy it if you like a solid cheese flavor that doesn't kick too much. While I forget what I bought it for, I've been on a soup kick and have been adding it to my soups to flavor them (being very lazy) and somehow went through the entire bag in a little over a month. It mixes in very well and can be used in many recipes that contain any cheesy/fatty flavor profiles. 2 lbs seems like a lot, but it is a very reasonable amount if you like cheese. Some other reviews mention the coloring and the fact that there are dyes in here, however I did not really care either way. The food dye makes it a solid homogeneous orange-yellow color, and if it could speak would say: "HELLO I AM CHEESE, THIS IS THE COLOR YOU EXPECT AND WANT YOUR CHEESE TO BE". If you are somehow concerned about the color and aesthetic of your food that you are using this in, I can confirm that this gives it an instructive cheese color, or else you don't really care, the color doesn't really matter either way, isn't off putting, and is all around fine.

Thos product came up in a search for savory protein powder and I somehow didnt realize that it is not that. It is cheese powder like you'd get in the powder pack with Kraft Mac & Cheese and is not high in protein content. Amazon search results should not have pulled this up and I should have noticed, but i dont want to penalize the seller for that. So, I'm not factoring that into my review. But, the scoop is super buried in the product and my hand was coated digging it out, which is wasteful. There has to be a better way, and there was definitely a lot of extra space in the bag, not sure why. The flavor was good though, and let me make quick Mac n Cheese with much cheaper boiled noodles, butter and milk, some shredded cheddar, and salt. I didnt do enough analysis to compare cost to the boxed stuff or nutrition, but I'm not unhappy so far (if jot disappointed it wasnt what I had intended). I might mix in to cottage cheese or try it in other sauces or dips. If it was high protein, I'd be pretty pleased so far.

Love this stuff for air popper. Just drizzle some melted butter on the popcorn and shake on the REAL cheese. Use a wooden spoon to mix. Dont need alot of cheese to get the great cheese taste on each kernel. Great flavor

Works good for adding to Ramen noodles and making homemade tuna helper. I divide the 2lb bag up into pint Mason jars, vacuum seal the jars and store them in the freezer until needed. Little messy getting the powder into the jars cause it sticks to everything, just have to take time. Works better than shredded cheese when using it in my noodles and has a pretty good taste to it. Keep an extra bag in the freezer just in case and haven't had any go bad yet. So used to it on my noodles don't want them any other way now.

FYI this item is not returnable!! It also packed with gross ingredients and fake dye. The marketing of gmo free, gluten free, etc makes it seem like it’s a natural product but it’s not. Also package came damaged. Read the ingredients and fine print before you buy this ever.

This stuff is great! At first I was concerned about the color, but it actually made it fun. I made a batch of bread like I normally do added a few tablespoons of this, a teaspoon of fried garlic, a teaspoon roasted granulated garlic, topped it with egg wash and cheddar cheese. The color is funny. It reminds me of the orange fingers you get when you eat Cheetos or nacho cheese Doritos. My kids call it #Cheetobread lol. For lunch today I made a sandwich with smoked turkey, bacon, avocado ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato. 😋 I'm very happy I made this purchase and I think I will purchase in the future again. This product is inexpensive for the amount you get. If you're swayed by the color then this isn't for you. It looks like you're typical Kraft mac and cheese powder. It has a nice cheddar flavor and is not salty. A little goes a long way. Also made some homemade cheddar mac n cheese with air fried chicken thighs, cantaloupe and a side salad (pictured). Super easy dinner. My kids said it tasted more creamy. The only thing I did different was adding 2 scoops of this cheddar powder. I pressure cooked 4 min 2 cups of macaroni, drained, added margarine, whole milk and 2 good handfuls of cheddar cheese, S&P, about 1 tbls of sugar and a few dashes of Badia complete. I can see how this could be used in a lot of other ways. Sprinkled on baked potatoes, air fried potatoes (pictured) or popcorn, maybe on some roasted broccoli...any root vegetables or soups. It's a fun way to add the flavor of cheese without the liquid and oil. This could never replace cheese if you're looking for ooey, gooey meltiness. This is a great substitute and can be used in many ways, plus it is shelf-stable. Try it.
