Connection Strength, Charging Speed
Co Worker turned me onto these a month ago, let me use one of her spares for the day. Super impressed w the style and functionality of these tiny little gems. The fact that one magnet goes into the cell phone charging port and stays there, preventing dust and moisture from getting into that area was what sold me the most. Hearing my Samsung do that lovely chime of " Super Fast Charging " was icing on the cake. Ive since bought my own and Have of these sets now. One for my Galaxy S24 Ultra, My Samsung Tablet and an adapter for work desk, Work Van and my daily driver. Another added plus for me is not adding wear and tear on my phone by inserting my charging cable in it to charge it so often. Ill be adding this tech to all my purchases moving forward.

So so
Eh. Fine. The magnets are bit weak, but unsure how strong you're allowed to make them before it starts affecting reliability. Bought a few of these, and they do kind of as advertised, they make reconnecting devices pretty simple. I'm pretty sure one of these fried the connection to my Macbook's battery. I was suddenly unable to provide power to my Macbook through USB-C OR the magsafe connector. As much as I'd like to blame the product, it's likely I accidentally pressed the magnet briefly against the magsafe connector, providing only 120W to a port not designed for it. No one's fault but mine, really. So 4/5. I don't care for the swiveling feature at all, and it's likely they'll fail faster over time because moving parts just do that. Next time, I'll purchase something simpler.

Perfect for my Lenovo laptop and pixel phone UPDATE
I use one for my laptop charger and the other for my Pixel phone. I find them far more convenient than plugging and now wish I got a third to keep in the truck. I like their ability to bend and move without coming off. Update: The portion of this that stays in the phone comes out too easy and I lost one pulling my phone out of my pocket. The caveat though is that it is possible my phone case interferes with the depth of the usb insert. Still happy though which is why I ordered a replacement

Functional, but questionable quality
The adapters themselves appear to be well constructed, but the packaging makes me suspicious of the actual quality. I ordered 2 sets, and they came in different packaging: - One package has the Vafoton branding on it (same name as the Amazon store selling this) - The other is nameless generic accessories package - it's the exact sort of packaging often used for cheap knock-off electronic accessories from China - and both of them are clearly labeled Made in China. Due to the cheap price and cheap generic packaging, I'm inclined to distrust the product specifications. A genuine - and safe - 240W adapter at this price point is just difficult to believe. (And the fact that there are several other product listings from "other companies" using the *exact* same product images suggests that the same item is being cheaply made and marked up under various brand names) The adapters do function, but I'll never use it for anything more than the 45W needed for fast-charging my mobile devices. For anyone else with a Samsung Galaxy phone, just FYI - although it's very small, the magnet is strong enough that while it's plugged in the stylus doesn't reliably work on the bottom inch of the screen, and you'll occasionally get the Android system popup message about magnetic accessories interfering with it. I think I'll just stick to using these for charging my earbuds

Perfect charging solution
Man these things are awesome! The 360 degree rotation, the never having to unplug and plug a cord back in, it's slim and unnoticeable, what's not to like about it! Actually the only con I can think of is the part that plugs into the phone is magnetic, which attracts ferrous particles. Silly putty does wonders cleaning them pesky particles off, great little tip. They have no noticeable drop in charging capabilities, I'm unsure of data transfer tho. It does not come with a cable, so you'll need your own. Throw a good quality cable and it'll charge fast. I bought it because my charging port was wearing out and it fixed that easy. Just plug it in and put the bit in the phone and that's it.

Good magnets, but disconnects easily
These work so well that I've gradually shifted all my (non-wireless charging) electronics to these. The magnets are strong enough that they don't accidently disconnect, yet weak enough that they disconnect without putting stress on the port.

Handy but mixed results
Mixed results with these. the first one i used, the magnet wasn't quite strong enough and disconnected too easily. The other one however is working well and stays connected in normal use.

This magnetic USB-C adapter system is one of those "why didn't someone think of this sooner?" products that genuinely transforms your daily charging routine. After using it across multiple devices, I'm convinced this should be standard technology. Game-Changing Convenience: While USB-C's reversible design was already a huge improvement over older connectors, adding magnetic attachment takes convenience to another level entirely. The satisfying "snap" when the cable connects, the effortless one-handed operation, and the ability to disconnect safely if you accidentally tug the cable – it all feels so intuitive that regular charging feels primitive by comparison. The 3-pack design is perfect for creating a magnetic charging ecosystem throughout your space. I've set up adapters on my laptop, tablet, and phone, and now every device benefits from this upgraded charging experience. The 240W power delivery handles everything from smartphones to high-performance laptops without any compromise in charging speed. Smart Engineering Details: The 360-degree rotation and 180-degree reversible design addresses real-world usage scenarios beautifully. Whether you're gaming, working, or just using your device while charging, the adjustable angle eliminates cable interference completely. The magnetic strength is perfectly calibrated – strong enough for secure connection, yet gentle enough to disconnect safely if pulled. The cable stress reduction benefit is underrated but significant. Traditional charging cables develop weak points from constant bending and flexing, but magnetic connections eliminate that wear pattern entirely. Your cables should last considerably longer with this setup. Important Safety Consideration: Here's where responsible usage matters: you absolutely must maintain clean connection points. Any metal debris, moisture, or conductive particles around the magnetic tips can potentially cause short circuits and device damage. I've seen reviews mentioning damaged devices, and this contamination issue is likely the culprit. Keep the magnetic surfaces clean and inspect them regularly. It's a small maintenance requirement for such significant convenience gains, but it's non-negotiable for safe operation. Bottom Line: The convenience factor far outweighs the maintenance requirements for careful users. This isn't just another charging accessory – it's a fundamental improvement to how we interact with our devices daily. Highly recommended for: Anyone who charges multiple devices regularly, people tired of fumbling with cables, or those looking to extend cable lifespan through reduced mechanical stress. Use with caution if: You work in dusty/metallic environments or struggle with keeping tech accessories clean.

Excellent product that actually DOES work with high-wattage charging cables. Not all do. Competing products I've sourced from Amazon do the mag-safe thing fine, but stop my Yoga 9i from charging: they don't enable the USB-C cable to deliver required power. When that happens charging isn't just slow: it stops altogether. Also the inset plug you insert into the laptop USB port is easy to remove. Some, once installed, become quite challenging to remove. This mag-safe connector offers 360-degree range of motion; my other ones do not. That makes cable placement safer (closer to the laptop, not hanging out) and less likely to get caught on passing clothes or objects. I like that. THIS MAG-SAFE CONNECTOR WORKS. Buy with confidence.

These are very nice high quality 90 Degree USB-C Magnetic Adapters that tilt 180 Degrees and swivel 360 Degrees and are ideal for charging or fast-charging USB-C devices (with appropriate cable and charger) and are easy to disconnect with a slight pull. There is support for 240W of power, but in reality, nothing much is using 240W of power as of today, but it is coming. I will be charging my USB-C Laptop, USB-C Android phone, USB-C iPhone 16 Pro, and various USB-C Portable Power Banks and other accessories that require fast-charge cables (I use 100W/240W cables) and USB-C fast-charge power sources (I have 65W/100W USB-C fast-chargers). Data transfer speed is 480Mbps (USB 2 speed), so very slow by today’s standard, but you need an appropriate USB-C device such as an iPhone 16 Pro to have fast data transfers, so this won’t affect most users anyway. These Magnetic Adapters, are very useful when used with smartphone’s and laptops, as these are expensive devices and you want to reduce wear and tear on the USB-C ports as much as possible, as these are points of failure over time and sometimes impossible to repair. If you’ve ever gotten up suddenly with your smartphone in your hand while it’s charging, you know what I mean, that sudden jerk on the cable is not very good for the USB-C port on the phone. Think of this USB-C Magnetic Adapter as an ideal charging point when used with a USB-C cable to quickly and securely disconnect from a device. Note: One thing to be careful with when transferring data with this Magnetic Adapter is to make sure it doesn’t accidentally disconnect from the cable of the other device, as this will cause data loss or corruption. So when used appropriately, these USB-C Magnetic Adapters are very practical. Note: Comes with a small prying tool to remove the adapter when your nails are short.

What's included: - USB-C magnetic adapter PD 240W (2 pack) - Plastic removal tool The USB-C magnetic adapters by VOFOTON work well and based on my testing provide the appropriate PD negotiation and flow through without issues. Data transfer rates are at USB 2.0 speeds. Also please note that these adapters do NOT offer video flow through. The adapters are made of a combination of metal and plastic and weigh 5 grams each. The length of each adapter is 4cm roughly. Because of their construction I keep these adapters attached to the metal legs of my desk thanks to their magnetic properties. The adapter consists of two parts, the base and the head. The base has a 9-pin connector which works very well and the base is the part with the female USB-C port. Also, at the elbow of the base, its possible to swing the top part of the base 180 degrees which allows for configuration into virtually any circumstance. The other part of the adapter is the head with the male USB-C tip. Because of the way this tip sits on the base, the tip can rotate 360 degrees and so in addition to the 180 degree ability of the base, this is how the listing states a total of 540 degrees. This setup really allows for attaching to a USB-C port at virtually any angle and in tight spots. Furthermore, there two great benefits to the design of this adapter. First, its not necessary to always plug and unplug a cable into something like your phone for charging which can cause problems with the port the more you are plugging and unplugging a charging cable into it. I simply just keep the head in the USB-C port of my cell phone and the base connected to the charging cable and when I wish to charge my phone, I just connect the two pieces, This brings me to the second main benefit of the adapter and that is, it prevents one from having to put unnecessary stress on one's charging cable. No more having to plug the cable in at awkward angles etc. Because of the 540 spin and rotation, I just let the adapter do the turning and bending so the charging cable does not - great for the cable! I tested the performance of the adapter two ways to evaluate data transfer speed. First, I created a 10GB file of all zeros to calculate the transfer speed based on a real world environment of my PC. The second method I used was to use a third party's software to evaluate speeds at the 8 GB level for both the read and write of a particularly fast SSD so it would not be the bottleneck in the test. The tests were performed both with and without the adapter. I found that under both circumstances (with or without the adapter) the transfer speeds were as expected and this tells me that the adapter does not represent an issue when it comes to data transfer speeds. To evaluate PD negotiation and power I used a power block as well as a cable and end destination phone. Here too I found power and PD negotiation with the adapter attached to work well and not have any adverse impacts during the charging process. Overall, performance worked as expected. I did try to see if video would work but it did not so running a thunderbolt cable from my laptop through to a monitor did not result in any video being displayed on the monitor. There is also a small plastic tool that is available if needed to remove the head. One thing that I would suggest being a little cautious with is which devices this adapter is used with since some USB-C ports are deeper than others and taking out the tip (head) maybe a slight challenge. That's when you may need to reach for the plastic tool provided, but in any event if using the tool or not, be somewhat cautious when removing the tip or you may find it on the floor and difficult to find. Overall, this adapter works well. The 9-pin system is terrific and the magnet is very, very good. PD negotiation is great and data transfer speeds are what is expected. Power is also good and not impacted by the adapter when charging. There are two adapters in the package with a noted PD of 240 W which I was not able to measure fully however what I did test worked well. These are also quite useful in protecting USB-C ports and so they are worth the small investment and I do consider them an investment especially if they can be used to protect laptop and phone ports. Pretty good value. Cheers,
