Compact Zigbee switch with seamless pairing and reliable synchronisation with manual control.
💡 I set this up specifically to work with Home Assistant, and what drew me to it was its ability to synchronise with the existing light switch position. I chose to wire it into the light fitting since it had a neutral, making the installation straightforward. With just three short pieces of wire, I connected live in, live out, and neutral to the lighting connection block, while the switch terminals went to S1 and S2. The manual included with the switch is quite minimal, relying on the manufacturer's website for additional guidance. My main concern was enabling the switch to follow mode, as the instructions didn't make this clear, but I found some extra details online. 💡 Pairing the switch was effortless and completed in seconds. Home Assistant detected it immediately, and once added, the switch mode appeared as an adjustable property, allowing me to configure it as needed. This saved me the trouble of manually forcing the mode during setup. I’ve installed similar smart switches before, so the whole process—wiring, pairing, and integration—took no more than 20 minutes. 💡 In use, the switch responds reliably, with no noticeable delay when toggling the light through Home Assistant. The synchronisation with the physical switch works as expected, maintaining the correct state even if operated manually. This is something to be aware of for following mode. If you operate the switch remotely, then the manual switch will be out of sync. You then need to switch the manual switch to ‘on’ before switching in off manually. This operates as expected. Given its compact size, it fits neatly within the existing junction box without forcing the wiring into awkward positions. The only downside is the lack of detail in the included instructions, but for anyone familiar with smart home installations, it’s a minor inconvenience. ✔️

Stable and reliable with home assistant
I've used this connected to a reed switch on my garage door soni can monitor it turning on/off in home assistant z2mqtt when the door opens. Nice stable zigbee connection at about 20 metres from the receiver through a couple of brick walls.

Good device.
Great Little device, you do need a fairly deep backbox on your switch(we just got ours changed to fit it in(thanks nephew!! lol) but apart from that small inconvenience , which cost about £1.50 to sort, it's great. It connected easily to Home Assistant via zha and never misses a beat. It's controlled via a Prescence detector to switch the lights on between the hours of sunset and sunrise. I'm really pleased with it.

Zigbee device... but doesn't seem to work with Philips Hue bridge.
Nice little device, fitted inside a standard back box. Couldn't pair to Philips Hue bridge so needed a Sonoff Zigbee bridge and additional 3rd party app, which all paired successfully, and works fine.

good reliable relay / switch for zigbee
One of the better relays, we're using this with a presence sensor to turn on LED's in our kitchen lantern, it works a treat and switches on super quick with the local zigbee connection

Tiny, silent and works with retractive or normal switches
I normally use Tuya vs Sonoff/eWeLink, but needed something like this and I have to say this is a great product. It is tiny compared to the slightly janky one I was replacing. It acts as a Zigbee repeater (unlike the no-neutral one) and it's silent, fast and responsive. Works well with HomeAssistant & Google too. Great to see thse products mature to the point they're not so hit and miss.

It really is that small!
I've used sonoff here and there for years - I was truly surprised how small these switches have gotten. Was able to pop it in the back of a deep 45mm backing box with a bit of persuasion on the wiring. Connects perfectly to Alexa - just have your echo close by for pairing if you're installing in a place with concrete block walls or high insulation. Once connected, the mesh between of echo and zigbee devices in that network closes the coverage gap.
