It works!
Inexpensive but effective item to monitor electrical safety in your home. Very simple to set up …it’s basically plug and play. It “learns” your home for the first week before it goes on duty 24/7 watching for electrical hazards that could cause a fire. This gizmo is unobtrusive but provides peace of mind for pennies a day. Recommended by several home insurance companies and I recommend it too!

Amazing product
Ting has been in for two weeks and already had helped. This device alerted me of a brownout that occurred which ruined my AC. Should I have not known, my pets would have been prone to a hot environment. Ting helps provide me with peace of mind everyday.

Who knows at this point
Until it actually detects an issue, I can’t really say how effective it is. Good product strategy though :)

Peace of Mind
We own an older home (106 y/o). Always nervous due to some old tube and knob wiring in the walls...though 90% of it is disconnected and electrical has been updated over the years and the panel. Always good to know that your home is safe behind the walls, what you can't see. After a 1 week evaluation this device let me know I have no issues detected. You just keep it plugged in indefinitely...if something comes up it will alert you.

Disappointing product. Worse customer service.
As a professional electrical engineer, I was curious about this product. It claims to be capable of detecting electrical hazard in residential. I have to say the product is a disappointment and the customer service is far worse. Trust the complaints and reviews in Better Business Bureaus (BBB). There are hundreds of complaints there. While many people might purchase this for “peace of mind”, the only peace you get is wasting your hard earned money on a product that does not work as advertised. So save yourself the money and the hassle because the company will go an extra mile to deny you a refund. The whole business seems to be set up to upsell you electrician service call from false positive alert. THE PRODUCT: It claims to detect hazard by detecting radio frequency (RF) in the electrical voltage sine wave. The issues is many other common household appliances also generate RF and are electrically noisy without being a hazard. The device also plugs into a wall outlet, hence it is only sensing the voltage on one leg of the 120/240V split phase residential circuit. In order to sense both circuits, one must install two of these on both legs. The device also falsely detects “loose neutral” issues on the utility side before the meter. The app is clunky and within a few days, it starts losing WiFi signal randomly before completely lost connective and become useless. Customer service advised the communication module in the unit may have gone bad. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Returned the device using the pre-paid shipping label. Still no refund after two weeks the return package was received by the seller. Amazon customer service contacted the seller on my behalf and yet still no response from the seller after 48 hours. Finally, Amazon customer service stepped in and refunded my order. This company is shady at best.

So far so good!
Recently there was a housefire in our area, started by an electrical fault. We travel some and I was looking for peace of mind while we're gone. Ting was easy to set up and connect. It spends the first week 'acclimatizing' to your house, afterward it monitors your lines and appliances for faults. If it does find something it'll alert you by email and/or text. I read about Ting online where some insurance companies are providing this to their customers. So far it hasn't found any issues, which is helpful. A subscription is required (1st year included) after the 1st year it's about $49/year. I consider it worth it.

NOT FOR USE IN CANADA
I contacted ting about the renewal rate. If you live in the USA, it's $49 in US dollars. If you live in Canada, and they find out (my case) THEY WILL DISCONNECT YOUR SERVICE. It works fine here, it's a shame they have not officially expoanded service to Canada yet. Apparently it's being sold here by an unauthorized third-party seller.
