This is simply the best nvme enclosure out there. It’s fast, high quality, reasonably priced, and as small as humanly possible with built-in cable storage. Plus, if you get the extra magnetic module, it can be an iPhone SSD as well! I’ve been loving it so far and figured I needed to help out by posting a review since so many people tanked the average by writing 1-star reviews because they didn’t realize the magnetic module is sold separately. Reading before you order goes a long way! This is without a doubt a 5-star product. Highly recommended!

I have many external drives and flash drives but this enclosure caught my attention for how small and lightweight it was. I had one NVMe from my old PC build and I knew this would be perfect for it. Once I received this enclosure I was even more surprised at how small it was - how lightweight but also how well made it was. The aluminum structure gives it a solid feel but also feeling like this wasn't some cheap hard drive enclosure like I've seen before. It was so short that I wasn't convinced my NVMe drive was actually going to fit inside. But once I took the screws out and separated the enclosure I found that it did fit - just enough room! My drive went in the enclosure without issue and the enclosure went back together fine as well. Once together I did notice a slight bulge in the enclosure from my drive now being inside. This bulge wasn't enough to not let the screws to be tightened down but looking at it it was obvious but from what I saw it wasn't going to be an issue. Other than the small size of the enclosure my other favorite thing about this is the included connection cable that fits right inside the side of the actual enclosure. The design was well throughout because this cable fits nice and securely but can be removed quickly. My one gripe about having external drives was that I always had to make sure I had a cable to carry along with it. This takes care of that with its included cable. My main concern, of course, was how the device worked with my NVMe drive installed. By the time I'm writing this review I have put this through the paces and have used it all kinds of different ways and with different devices. My main use for this is to move data from my phone to my PC. The speed of transferring off my Pixel 6 to this device and then from the device on to my PC works exactly how it should. It's fast and reliable and I haven't run into any issues with any transfers. Yes, it's not as fast as having the NVMe inside my PC but it's fast enough for me. I also love that I can take this drive along with me without being so big and combersome. I know some of the listing pictures are showing this enclosure being attached magnetically but in one of those pictures it clearly says that this magnetic piece is sold separately - so I knew ahead of time it wasn't going to be included which I was totally fine with. When it comes to noise levels, well, there is no noise from this or the NVMe inside. With there being no mechanical things moving on the inside or outside this device and what is inside is completely silent. Overall, I'm more than pleased with how this drive enclosure has been working for me. With it's small footprint and quality design including the attached data cable, I think it's a good value for the money. If you're looking for a way to move data from one device to another in a simple but fast way I recommend you give this enclosure a try. If you're someone on the go a lot or someone that takes a lot of pictures or videos I think this would be a great addition to your setup or EDC. One thing to also keep in mind - you will need your own NVMe drive to use with this enclosure as it doesn't come with one as most enclosures don't.

So I just got this enclosure and was ready to put my SSD into it when I saw that the screw that hold the drive in place is screwed incorrectly and is tilting to a side. Some worker decided to jam it in there without realizing it cross-threaded into the socket and can’t be removed. So much for thinking Sharge was a good brand to get into. Returning it to Amazon as it’s useless to me.

Slim, aluminum, low profile case, wide nvme compatibility in size and upto 4 tb. Doesn't seem to get hot. Nice built in wire. Limited speed to <1000mbps. Even the slowest nvme can keep up. Not for performance oriented customers. Great for decent storage. Zero noise and has pass thru charging. Costs more if you want the extra wire and magnet attachment. Overall its a great device. Shargeek makes unique products. Far better than the competition.

Enclosure does not support dual-sided NVMe SSD drive. There's plenty of thickness space but the NVMe slot is a low profile type. Enclosure screws uses star bit, mini star screw driver in the box. However, it uses Phillips bit for the NVMe.

The build quality is good. Material wise, they made sure to get the best.

When I saw the ad for this item, I assumed it came with an SSD. That was my mistake for not reading the details carefully. Be sure to verify that you receive all the items you paid for, as there are different configurations available. I ordered the basic unit, and according to the user manual, I should have received: - **Two thermal pads** (I only got one). - **Two user manuals** (I received one manual with two languages). - **Two pieces of double-sided tape** (I received none). One nice inclusion is three extra screws: two for the cover and one for the SSD card inside the case. Installation was straightforward, but the screws are tiny—I dropped one on the carpet and couldn't find it. The extra screws were a helpful addition. The case appears to be precision-machined. However, when I opened it, I noticed there was no gasket, raising concerns about water or moisture intrusion. The ad did not mention water resistance, but the machining suggests it may handle light splashes. That said, I wouldn’t use it in very humid environments or where it could be submerged in water. The unit was truly plug-and-play when I connected it to my HP Envy x360. It functions perfectly as a large memory stick. Overall, it’s a good product, though slightly overpriced.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought two different color of the same SSD enclosure. However both of them when plugged into Windows 11 PC, it says Display Connection Might Be Limited, however this is a SSD... why does Windows 11 detected as Display connection on both enclosures?

Aunque los móviles actuales tienen normalmente una cantidad de espacio disponible que ha aumentado mucho, me encontraba buscando una carcasa para SSD que me permitiera llevar fácilmente de viaje algunas películas y proyectos de trabajo que pudiera cargar de forma rápida. Esto me hizo decidirme por esta carcasa. El fabricante nos la remite en un pack en el que ha incluido además de la propia carcasa, manual de instrucciones, una bolsita para el transporte de la carcasa, así como un destornillador para el montaje, varios thermal pads para mantener el disco a temperatura baja y tornillos necesarios a la hora de montar el SSD. Una vez en la mano, vamos a comprobar que está fabricada en aluminio muy resistente, con algo de relieve que facilita su agarre y a la vez por el material utilizado facilita una disipación de calor eficiente. Es extremadamente ligero. En el lateral superior el puerto USB-C1 sirve para la transmisión de datos y energía (máximo 80W) con el dispositivo al que se conecte y en la parte inferior el puerto USB-C2 es un puerto de alimentación eléctrica que admite un máximo de 100W y puede alimentar tanto al disco en el interior de la carcasa como al dispositivo al que lo hayamos conectado (móvil, tablet, ordenador portátil). En la parte inferior de la carcasa contamos con un hueco en el que introduciendo el dedo sacamos un cable USB-C a USB-C de pequeño tamaño integrado en la parte superior de la carcasa. Algo que hay que destacar, antes de profundizar en el producto es que solo funciona con discos SSD M.2 NVMe, no con discos con la interfaz SATA. Admite los tamaños estándar de discos SSD M.2 (2230, 2242 y 2280). A la hora de montarlo, siguiendo las instrucciones, abriremos la carcasa, colocaremos el disco NVMe en su interior, que cuenta con varios thermal pads ya colocados y al que además colocaremos otro sobre nuestro disco M.2. Esto consigue que el disco se caliente poco. Cerraremos después la carcasa y ya podremos utilizarla. Como consejo, quiero comentar que los discos NVMe se calienta muchísimo, por lo que cuanto mejor disipación de calor les podamos entregar, mejor funcionarán y su vida útil se alargará. Los puertos USB-C con los que cuenta la carcasa son compatibles con el protocolo 3.2 gen. 2, que permite velocidades de hasta 10Gbps. Mis equipos no son capaces de entregar tanta velocidad en la transmisión de datos, pero sí os puedo indicar que he conseguido velocidades de más de 5Gbps sostenidos. Con ello, además, queda garantizado que puede reproducir vídeos a 4K sin ningún problema. Pros: - Diseño bonito, elegante y cuidado. - Se han pensado en todos los detalles tanto para el cuidado del disco (thermal pads) como para la conexión (cable USB-C integrado en la carcasa), e incluso para el transporte. - Aunque estemos utilizando con gran carga de trabajo el disco NVMe, este se mantiene en temperaturas adecuadas. Contras: - No le encuentro. En cuanto al precio de la carcasa, teniendo en cuenta todo lo expuesto, creo que es adecuado, y recomiendo la compra.

Ich habe dieses SSD-Gehäuse für mein Steam Deck geholt und bin absolut zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, das Gehäuse fühlt sich robust an und die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist top. Besonders gefällt mir das schlanke Design – wirklich super kompakt! Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Es gibt keine magnetische Halterung, aber das steht auch klar in der Beschreibung, daher war es keine Überraschung. Wer ein schnelles und zuverlässiges SSD-Gehäuse sucht, macht hier definitiv nichts falsch. Klare Empfehlung!
