DJI Mic Mini Mobile Phone Adapter (Lightning)

I use an older iPhone 12 for some of my video work alongside a newer Android phone, so the standard USB C bits that came with the DJI Mic Mini left me in a bit of a muddle. Buying this separate Lightning adapter was the only real way to get the microphone receiver working with my older Apple gear, and it does exactly what I needed it to do. The best thing about it is how easy it makes swapping between two completely different phone systems mid shoot. You just slide the connector onto the receiver base and it clicks into place. My iPhone picks up the audio signal instantly with no crackling or fussing about. The sound stays perfectly clear, so you do not lose any quality by running it through an extra adapter. The main annoyance is that the physical fit feels a bit loose once it is plugged into the phone port. The receiver sticks out a fair bit and wobbles slightly if you move around too fast while filming handheld. You also have to watch out when putting it away, as it is a microscopic piece of plastic that is very easy to lose in a kit bag, and DJI charge a premium for replacements. If you are a content creator who juggles an Android device and an iPhone 14 or older, this saves you from having to purchase a completely separate wireless microphone setup. It handles the cross-platform stuff beautifully and lets you keep using your older gear without any drama.

For what it is, this product is super cheat. I have been using the DJI Mic 2 to connect to my phone for phone recordings and it's super long and convoluted. You had to attach the USB converter on to the receiver first and then put on the mic. This is way is far easier. Simply put in the USB C adapter to your mobile and it works straight away. No fuss, no hassle. It's far smaller than the DJI Mic 2, I can fit into a medium sized pocket and pretty much take it everywhere. I put it inside of my mini messenger bag and it doesn't feel like it's even there. It's super light almost like a toy, but it still feels strong and sturdy. I only use it 1 hour at a time, it's been a week so far and I haven't had to charge the whole kit yet. Battery life is excellent!

This works perfect for connecting your DJI mic mini to your iPhone if it’s a phone that uses a lightening connector. It was not cheap and it’s a shame that DJI didn’t include one with their microphone. Though I can see why they chose to use just USB C as it’s the main connector now for most phones, especially the newer ones. It does the job as you would expect, but you have to get a grip of it when disconnecting it from the phone, as it slides in the wrong way (from the top instead of from the bottom as with other microphone receivers such as the DJI mic 2 receivers. Not sure which genius thought of connecting it that way.

Tested on my iPhone and it works perfectly with the DJI Mic Mini. Setup was quick and seamless, with no connection issues. Audio is transmitted reliably and the adapter feels well made. A simple but essential accessory for anyone using the DJI Mic Mini with a Lightning-equipped iPhone.

Works as expected and gives a seamless connection, but loses a star as it is relatively expensive for what is a very small adapter.

Great microphone from DJI, I’d recommend it. The noise cancelling feature works really well in a noisy environment, battery last longer, easy to use. The DJI Mimo APP has few glitches and it’s enormous almost 2GB, eating up storage space on the mobile phone, but you don’t need to keep the app, use once for firmware update and initial settings then delete it.

Great product, small and light, captures great audio with the added advantage of 32bit load. Integrates well with my Canon EOS camera as well as my DJI Action Camera. Very pleased with the purchase and happy to recommend.

Instant connection with no fuss yes is a tad expensive for what it is but these days you definitely get what you pay for five stars all round highly recommend but this and not a cheaper alternative

RECOMENDADISIMOS. La mejor opción al mejor precio. El receptor no tiene pantalla como en los grandes pero aquí se configuran por medio de la app, así que nivela funciones. El cliché también tiene imán por lo que es desmontable y tiene 2 posiciones. Lo único que no me agrada es que los imanes ahora tienen polaridad; antes por cualquier lado se pegaban y ahora hay que tener cuidado con eso. Que además se puedan enlazar otros dos micros y sean 4 es genial. Y que se personalicen con las carillas de colores le da un plus. Como siempre, recomiendo conseguir un par extra de protectores para viento aún trayendo un par incluido.
