fit for purpose
Purchase arrived very quickly, appears sturdy and well made. We have not fitted it yet however we do not foresee any problems.

Not as pictured!
Ordered what I thought would be perfect for my house renovation but sadly what arrived wasn't what is pictured. If you order the grey one one it is a cheap grey finish with a gold key hole. Will look terrible for my purpose but if that works for you I'm sure it will be a great lock.

its ok
I went for a Yale because I wanted a good quality lock that was easy to open from both sides. This is fine from one side but very fiddly from the other. The overall quality is a generic chinese made lock - I could have got something very similar for less.

Rim Lock
Good enough quality for a garden shed or out building where you need the extra security of a lock. Better than padlocks as cannot be cut off, fittings wrenched out etc as it is screwed on inside the door.It is a very basic lock so would not use inside the house and is of a pretty basic design.

Does exactly what you'd expect, and at a fair price. Also the screws supplied are actually of a decent strength unlike many products.

Broken after less than 3 months
I bought this product back in July for our personal door on the garage. It was super easy to fit and we were very happy with it. However - yesterday I went out to the garage and had trouble unlocking it. It now seems that something has broken within the lock as the key just goes round and round and the lock is not engaging or disengaging properly. As this is less than 3 months old and used only once a day to access bunny food I will be contacting Yale for a replacement.After contacting Yale they put me back in touch with amazon who arranged a replacement and the broken lock return. So far so good!
