Fairly easy to install, a little tricky to adjust, a bit pricy but I didn't have to buy a new toilet
So I have a Karat 1 piece toilet that I bought over 20(?) years ago from the Home Depot. It's in my basement. Luckily, there are 2 other toilets in the house so I could diagnose the issue with this toilet. I first determined that the Fluidmaster fill valve was leaking. I replaced that and the toilet was still leaking. Through trial and error, I determined that the toilet wasn't leaking from the flapper. It was the flush valve which has a rubber gasket that was leaking. It wasn't replaceable, so this fit the bill. First of all, this item did NOT come with instructions and that is needed. I want to thank reviewer Peaty for his photos and explanations. Without that, with no instructions, not even at Korky's website, I would have been in the dark. A little trial and error with installing the valve with the tool. Also I had to cut the overflow pipe since it was too tall to fit in my toilet. I first tried a new Fluidmaster flapper that I had in my house but the toilet was still leaking through the flapper. I had to use the Korky flapper that came with the flush valve. After adjusting the chain, it's flushing OK with no apparent leaks. For the final test, I put food coloring in the tank. So far, no food coloring in the bowl. The flush valve is a bit pricey when compared to the Fluidmaster fill valve, but it is cheaper than buying a new toilet. Hopefully, with a new fill and flush value, I will be able to use this toilet for many more years.

Thank goodness for on-line self help video platforms
Product arrived in factory new condition. All pertinent parts related to the function and installation of the replacement item were enclosed EXCEPT any hint of instructions on how to actually accomplish the feat. To be honest a few seconds searching for "how to install top mount flush valve" revealed a bounty of results, although with that being said it sure couldn't have cost but a few cents to add a generic stick man cartoon type of guide to give a helping hand. The video uploaded by "Allysa" which is shown on the item order page pretty much lets you know what needs to take place if you are removing a similar valve assembly, so a big "Thanks for the assist!" Initial placement may require a turn or three to loosen the fit before it seats firmly in place before tightening. Saved the price of a new replacement toilet we were having to consider before finding this solution. Works like a charm and as easy as it can possible get to install (once you understand what needs to transpire). Save the plumbing bill and do this bit yourself!

Finally a solution for my leaky toilet!
Have to preface this with a HUGE THANKS to prior reviewer Peaty for the guidance... I was struggling to find a solution for a constantly running old toilet in my new house. Was very difficult finding a way to remove the old flush valve, but once his review said this came with the tool to remove it (a white circle that attaches to a standard ratchet, and just requires a long extension), it was SO EASY to remove and replace. This replaces LAVELLE models for a 1-piece toilet, which was another area of confusion for me. Thank you again to Peaty and his pictures, and for this product!

Name brand, usually good stuff, this time, poor quality flapper
Works as any flush valve does. However flapper lasted less than a year, before toilet kept running and filling. Didn’t stay properly seated on the valve. May need contoured shape or different material on edges for hard water? Tried a replacement flapper, but decided better off just replacing whole kit and kaboodle.

Worked perfectly in my American Standard 2092 Hamilton one piece
Worked just fine in my toilet which was randomly flushing due to the water level dropping. First I replaced the flapper, which is the usual reason but that didn't work. This was less expensive than the American Standard brand but is also very good quality. Install is simple with a long extension and 3/8" ratchet. I was happy to see they even provided the tool that you need to do the repair. The small white disk with slots that fits down in the opening. Even though the overflow drain pipe is slightly longer than the one I replaced, it is below the top of the water tank so there was no need to cut it down. It will still work fine in the event it's needed. I provided a few photos to show how easy the install is. 10 Minutes tops, shut the water valve to the toilet. Flush the toilet to drain the tank down. Undo the chain that holds the flapper, using the tool unscrew the internal collar, standard righty tighty lefty loosey. Pull the old unit out and put the new one in being sure it's seated all the way down. Tighten with tool till it's snug and hook the chain back up to the flush lever. You might have to adjust he chain length. Turn the water back on and give a test flush to be sure the chain and flapper are set properly.

No Instructions
The parts did not come in consumer packaging, except for the flapper. There were no instructions or parts list included, which made me initially wonder if the product had been previously returned. The fill tube also lacks a clip or guide for the hose, which would have been helpful—especially at this price point. Despite these issues, I was able to figure out the installation on my own, and so far, the product appears to be working as expected. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly due to the lack of instructions and the fact that it’s advertised as a Korky product, when only the flapper appears to be.

Perfect fit
I have an American Standard, one piece, 2" toilet discharge. It fit perfectly. I was not sure if the special tool that looks like a doughnut was going to be included. This special tool was not in the picture, so I was not sure it would come, but it did come, also the discharge gasket was attached. Now my 20 yr. old toilet is as good as new.

The product fit perfectly and stopped a slow leak due to the old flush unit where the rubber gasket had failed to the point that it was breaking apart. This replacement came with the installation tool and all went well. Highly recommend this as a perfect replacement

A bit expensive for a piece of plastic but it does the job, so no complaints. Since it’s a universal unit, it requires a bit of fiddling. For me, I had to cut the top of the tube by about 1 ¼” (pic #1) but more importantly, I had to cut about a ¼” of the tabs at the bottom of the plastic 2” screw (pic #2). Because of my American Standard model 2092, these tabs were hitting the bottom of the hole (pic #3) and preventing a proper seal (I think another reviewer posted the same problem). Once cut, the seal was tight and the unit worked flawlessly (pic #4). Very happy.
