DIY studio stop motion armature kit NOT-READY-made METAL ARMATURE puppet, stop-motion animation with 20 CM of height The joints are made using a threaded and a plain side plate with two half threaded balls, the balls are located between the side plates and clamped in using the screw. With the joint clamped tight together, the threaded bar can be tightened into one of the balls, with the aid of a pair of pliers to grip the bar, the screw can now be slackened to allow the joint to move freely. A spot of super glue on the threaded bar prior to insertion into the ball will make the joint more secure. Most of the ones I saw online are really expensive until I came upon this one. It was a little hard to build at first, but he eventually got the hang of it. Definitely do need to buy some crazy glue though for the ball pieces. I think it was a great first kit for my 9 year old.

My son has really been into claymation lately, and he wanted to create a model with the metal skeleton and we came across this one. Most of the ones I saw online are really expensive until I came upon this one. It was a little hard to build at first, but he eventually got the hang of it. Definitely do need to buy some crazy glue though for the ball pieces. I think it was a great first kit for my 9 year old.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy super glue first!

It’s a good product for a first go at animation. Higher end armatures are so much more expensive that even though this one is not dirt cheap it’s still a good place to start. But make sure you buy a TON of super glue before you even open the box. The puppet will be impossible to animate if you don’t glue all the balls joints in.
