Having My Cake and Crushing My Macros Too!
Finding a protein bar that doesn't taste like sweetened cardboard or pack in unnecessary carbohydrates has been an ongoing mission of mine. When I came across the David High Protein Bars, specifically the Cake Batter flavor, the nutritional profile alone stopped me in my tracks. Getting a massive 28 grams of protein for a mere 150 calories almost seemed like a typo. Most bars on the market hover around 20 grams of protein for well over 200 calories, so discovering something this remarkably macro-friendly felt like an absolute game-changer for my daily nutrition and fitness goals. โLet's talk about the flavor and texture, because that is exactly where most diet-friendly snacks completely fall apart. The Cake Batter flavor is genuinely phenomenal. It perfectly captures that rich, vanilla-forward, nostalgic taste without any of the gross, lingering artificial sweetener aftertaste you often get with zero-sugar products. Since there is 0g of sugar in these, I was honestly expecting a dense, overly chewy, jaw-tiring experience, but the texture is incredibly satisfying. It's soft enough to bite through easily but substantial enough to feel like a real indulgence, completely knocking out my sweet tooth when those intense mid-afternoon cravings hit. โFrom a performance standpoint, these are exactly what I need to power through a busy schedule or recover effectively after a heavy lifting session. Because they are so low in carbs and entirely gluten-free, my energy levels stay perfectly stable without the dreaded crash that usually follows a sweet snack. I now keep a few of these shiny gold wrappers stashed in my gym bag, the center console of my truck, and my office desk drawer. They have easily become my ultimate on-the-go snack when I need a fast, substantial protein hit but don't have the time to mix up a powder or prep a full meal. โThe presentation is just the icing on the cake. The bold, gold wrappers look incredibly premium, and grabbing the 12-pack box ensures I am well-stocked and ready to tackle the week. If you are serious about hitting your daily protein targets but completely refuse to compromise on taste or waste your hard-earned calories on subpar snacks, I cannot recommend the David Cake Batter bars enough. They are absolutely incredible and have legitimately redefined what I expect from a protein bar, proving you actually can have your cake and eat it too.

The BEST: Itโs Not Even Close
By far the best protein bar. Insane macros that beat some protein powders, and a taste par or better than Quest. Very satisfying, crave-worthy with a crunchy texture that adds variety to the bar. Just donโt eat more than two a dayโฆ For your first box, get the Cookie Dough.

Great Protein Bar
These bars are loaded with protein using gluten-free and non-GMO ingredients, have zero sugar and taste GREAT. Itโs a large bar for only 150 calories and is very filling for a meal replacement or snack. So far, Iโve only tried the Cake Batter flavor, but am looking forward to trying the others. You will not be disappointed!

Good choice for pumping up protein intake!
I had the peanut butter one and felt it tasted moldy. It was just how the peanut flavor came across. There wasnโt any mold. The next box I got was cake batter. I found this to taste better. In a hurry to get your protein in for the day, this is a good choice.

Oily orange stools
They taste great, but they are super oily, this isnt so much a review about this particular flavor but ive tried numerous flavors within the past week or two and recently ive noticed gastrointestinal problems, and oily orange stools. Google says not to have more than one a day and id follow that if you want to have normal bowel movements. I paid alot of money for multiple PROTEIN BAR flavors including this one but im willing to cut my losses and go back to my Ole reliable QUEST PROTEIN BARS,not as much protein but that's fine with me,but id rather waste my money by throwing away these protein bars if it means i dont have oily orange stools. My advise move on to other brands, and read the ingredients before purchasing something nowadays, the ingredient used that make it oily causes oily stools,bc your body can fully absorb it and isnt fully digestible.

Love the product, love the marketing!!
Oh yes!! I first try this protein bars at Publix, loved the package, the luxurious feeling on the look, then follow the brand on Instagram, and got crushed on the way they do marketing. I am a fan of El David by Michelangelo, so another point. Ok but at the end the most important, the bars taste very good, the amount of protein inside every bar is very very good, the many flavors too! Taste is good, not super sweet, not too unsweetened, on the point!

Great bar
These are my new favorite protein bar. I want to try other flavors too sometime. Just the right amount of chewy and sweetness.
