Will be great with a little additional setup.
Full disclosure, I haven't used it yet. I ordered and the only concern I have is that as a few stated there is no air choke valve, I will will create one with a slide tube over the air holes. The value, size, and weight are great. The only other recommendations I would make are to add a rigidizer and refractory cement to the list of needs when you set this up. The heat rating is higher for the product is higher than most rigidizers that are available.

It is actually better than I expected.
This beast is cool as hell. The box had 6 heavy stickers but could have been able to add another heavy sticker. It is wide and heavy duty. It was easy to put together and use.

Works great!
Super impressed with this little forge. Heats up metal to forging temperature fairly quickly and has been exactly what I needed so far. I did have to buy cement to cover the insulation but apart from that has been a great buy

Good starting forge but needs rigidizer before use.
Would be 5 stars but DO NOT USE WITHOUT APPLYING RIGIDIZER. Thing spits fiberglass like it's nothing. Love that it comes with a fire brick and that the back seals up ok enough. Good for small projects like knives!

Works great for the price.
I use this forge mainly for my horseshoe projects. Heats horseshoes in a matter of minutes. Lights easily but make sure your hand is not in front of of opening as it may singe your knuckles 😃

It doesn’t have the hard fire brick like the photos show
It leads you to believe there is a door on both sides, but it gets worse, it’s just the cotton style insulation which is extremely poisonous when burned. I’m just going to return this death machine before I get cancer.
