A great wading pool but make sure you do it correctly!
Other reviews gave us a lot of help so I’ll try to list our my lessons learned but definitely look for other reviews that may give even more help. It takes a few hours to set up and fill but as long as you take care of it and have the proper equipment, it should give you a lot of fun. Some basic highlights to start: 1) It is only 2 feet of water! It says 30 inches but the last 6 inches are the bumper. A “real pool” for 5 and 6 year olds. Decent splashing pool for elementary school. Any older and its more of a wading pool. You can fit a couple of floating and lay on it or sit down and cool off but it’s definitely not an adult pool. Its inflatable, what do you want! :) 2) 10 feet in diameter plus you need clearance for the pump, to walk around, enough distance away from any outlets so make sure you measure 3) You have to put in an absolutely flat surface. Its not rigid and literally kept in shape by the water pressure so if its on a big slope, it will not end well. Our patio is probably a tad downhill and we can see the water is probably a inch lower on one side. Not a big deal at all but imagine more of a slope! 4) You need equipment. Its not a toy wading pool you blow up with your mouth and then forget. But its tons of fun and a nice way to cool off (especially this summer given the social distancing concerns). So what you need: 1) Pool 2) Pool cover (make sure its the same diameter). Otherwise you could be skimming a lot of junk out of the pool every morning 3) 1000 gph pump. I read many reviews that said it has to be 1000 gph for a pool of this size. There are some Intex sets that come with a pump but its underpowered. So I got a separate one. It comes with all the hoses you need 4) Skimmer for all the crud that falls in the pool 5) Chlorine/Ph testing kit. Small strips that you dip in the water like for a fish tank, Very helpful 6) A floater that you can put in tablets 7) Chlorine. 3” tablets are too strong as the pool is only about 1100 gals. I got these and they will probably last a couple of summers! Just put in for a a few minutes and then test the water. Once its reached optimal levels, take it out and put in again when you need it. Or get 1” pellets. Much better for a pool of this size 8) Arm & Hammer Pool Maintenance. Maintains pool Ph and alkalinity. These dissolve quickly within a few minutes. Maybe once every 1 or 2 weeks? 9) tarp for under the pool Could run you a few hundred dollars by the time you get everything. There are videos on YouTube on how to set up the pool and I strongly recommend watching them. Its pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. The bumper around the edge is inflated with air. If you don’t have an electric pump, get one. You can’t use your mouth and a manual pump will take a long long time. The sides are held up by the water inside the pool. They are not inflated so they aren’t for sitting or resting on. If you do, it will push down and the water will flood out. It will take 2 - 3 hours to fill the pool with a hose. One last thing. You’ll likely need a way to get in and out of the pool. An adult can just step over the sides and you can lift little ones but if you are in elementary school and you want them to get in and out on their own, you’ll need a ladder of some sort. You can buy official pool ladders but they are expensive. We used metal 2 or 3 step foldable step-ladders that we bought at Costco for our closets. I put one inside the pool and it worked perfectly. Outside, I just put a patio bench alongside the edge so the kids could get in and out easily. I put a photo of the step ladder we used and how we used a patio bench.

Awesome pool -- but don't forget the pump!
I LOVE this pool. It is my 3rd one. The first was a 6-foot pool. It was too small for the kids to play, plus have the parents join in. Bought the 10-foot pool with a filter/pump a few years ago, and loved it. Unfortunately, carpenter ants ate through the liner and inflatable ring at the top while I had it in storage (I was surprised that ants would eat through such thick material). So, I just bought this one to replace my previous one. I didn't need the pump/filter since I still have my previous one. The pool is very easy to setup: 1. Find a somewhat level ground and remove debris (so it doesn't puncture the liner) 2. Stretch out the liner floor so it doesn't have creases 3. Inflate the ring 4. Connect the pump, if you're using one (I highly recommend you do) 5. Fill with water to the desired height One of the things I really like about this pool is that you can choose how deep to make it, since the ring will float to whatever height you fill the water to. For example, you could add just about 8 inches for a baby, 15 inches for a toddler, 25 inches for a child, etc. NOTE: This pool DOES NOT come with a pump/filter. If you don't already have one, then I recommend either finding the same pool with pump/filter for just a few more dollars, or buy the pump/filter separately. MAINTENANCE: You'll probably want to run the pump for just a few hours per day (I run mine about 3-4 hours per day). I also have the paper strips that I dip in the water to check it's PH balance, chlorine levels, etc. in one shot (colors change with chemical levels). I have never had to adjust anything except add chlorine. I use the small chlorine tablets (about the size of large gumball) and float them in a home-made dispenser. The dispenser is just two Gatorade bottles tied together with a string -- one with holes drilled through so the water can dissolve the chlorine tablet; the other is empty and sealed tight so it floats. The bottle with the holes sinks just about 6 inches below the surface. You should also invest in a pool cover for about $15 here. It keeps debris out of the pool (the filter pump won't pickup floating or sunk debris; it just cleanses the water). It also helps warm the water (I imagine the solar cover for $30 does this much better), and it makes the chlorine last a lot longer. Without the cover, I was adding chlorine about every 3-4 days. With the cover I'm doing it about every 7 days (I guess chlorine evaporates when directly exposed to the sun?). CAUTION: Do NOT leave the pool cover laying on your lawn -- the sun will heat up the cover and cook your lawn in less than an hour! This happened to me. Now I put the cover in the shed when the pool is open. Overall, this is a WONDERFUL pool for kids (although it's not big enough to actually "swim" in it), at a very low cost. Enjoy!

Great Little Pool...
I purchased this pool twice. I deducted one star because the first one lasted only two summers, from May to August in 2023 and 2024. Last summer, it developed numerous leaks from tiny holes both inside and on the top ring. Overall, it's an excellent pool; I bought the 10x30 size, which is perfect for my 5-year-old niece. I also enjoy using it to sunbathe and stay cool. Here are a few essential points to keep in mind: when inflated, the water level is approximately 2 feet deep and maintained below the inflated top area of the pool. It’s extremely simple to assemble. Be sure to place a liner underneath the pool, and I highly recommend purchasing a pump and extra filters. This pool is an excellent option for both children and adults who want a low-maintenance space to relax and lounge comfortably. I repurchased this pool in May and noticed that the description now states "puncture resistant." I'm not sure if this is a newer model, but I hope it's more durable than the one I bought in 2023. I will provide an update at the end of the summer if any issues arise. We do store the pool safely and properly for the winter.

Best purchase thus far!
Set up was easy. I love that theres multiple ways to run it with or without the pump etc. You can keep it super simple and just use the plugs and fill up. The quality is great and durable. I've got 4 kids that have been playing in it and haven't had any issues. Great size for my ages of 7,9,11 and 14. Theres plenty of room for them all and you can fit so many more! Its been great for these super hot days. The value is great. I would absolutely order again if I needed. I have told everyone I know about this pool. The design was well thought out and looks great. Everyone thinks it was super expensive and I love telling them it wasn't! I give it a 5 star rating hands down! The price, size, functionality, ease of setup, options, amazing quality and durability have exceeded my expectations by far. You wont be disappointed.

VERY Difficult to set up; Must have FLAT lawn or won't work!
Was so excited for this to arrive. And then have been incredibly disappointed in what I expected to be a good product from a reputable company, Intex. Not sure where to start... I guess with this: the product description needs to be MUCH more straight-forward. This is NOT an inflatable pool; the only part that is inflatable is the top ring, the rest is sort of a giant rubber bag, without any sort of framing or structure that you have to fill with water in an exact and perfect way on a flawless piece of lawn. This means 2 critical things: one, that it is actually very difficult to set up (my boyfriend and I - and he builds and fixes things so knows what he's doing) - have done it 3 times now and it's still not right; and two, (and again this should absolutely be noted in the product description) you MUST have a flat and level yard for this to work. This is a critical fact, had I known before purchase, I would not have done so. We live in an area that backs up to the woods, so our medium size yard has no place that is completely level for something 10' in circumference. We've tried it in many different locations that would seem to be level until we start setting it up and turns out there's an incline so it won't work. It's now a month since we received and I've never once been able to use it. Only 5 weeks left of summer and I've now ordered a totally different pool that is much more straight forward and is an ACTUAL inflatable pool. I'm so disappointed in this product and this whole experience. It was $130+ aggravation and I'd like my money back, but if not, I'd at least like Intex to change their product description so people know what they're getting into.

WHOA - this is more fun that we thought! Best summer purchase ever!!!
After reading every single review on this pool, viewing all (2 or 3) YouTube videos on how to assemble, I finally made the purchase. It was intimidating to read all the ways one needs to do to get this up and running. I made it as simple as possible, followed all the guidelines and figured if it didn't work out, no loss - it's a cheap toy. Steps to Fun: 1) Pool arrived (we live in Hawaii). 2) Picked up black thick plastic tarp at Lowes in the painting section and a 21' hose cheap hose extension (pool going farther away from the house than regular hose will accommodate). 3) Surveyed the backyard for most flat area. Because our yeard isn't 100% flat, we have a sort of higher area, and that's easier to get in the pool, which is good for lots of interesting reasons. 4) Obviously it's a big blue plastic bubble in the backyard so placement of it so it was important, we made the best decision between flat and out of the way. 5) Laid out the tarp. 6) Stretched out the pool over the tarp. 7) Placed hose inside, turned on full blast. 8) Stayed in the pool to work out the kinks in the plastic flooring - attention to keeping it flat is a good idea or you end up with flaps on the bottom where the plastic didn't stretch out. 9) Final hour, got out of pool and let it fill up, checking periodically. Didn't know exactly how full to fill it so I went on the low-side. First time we used it, we had 5 friends in and we all thought it was a blast. We're putting in a "real" pool next year, and while this one is just for fun, I have to say it accomplishes "almost" everything a real pool would. A new notes: 1) Buy the plastic pool cover - it keeps the water warm and bigger debris out of the way 2) INVEST in the pool pump - or you'll be cleaning it with a strainer every single day for an hour before you "want" to get in 3) I found both the chemical testing kit AND the test strips efficient - depends on your math levels 4) INVEST in the chlorine floating thing - it works (read up on how to SHOCK a pool 'cause until you figure out your chemical balance, you'll be wanting to FIX the water - this was our first pool and I had to figure out the chemicals 5) Read everything Intex has on the pool - they have very helpful information 6) Fits 1 raft or 2, but you can't turn around with 2. We also bought the blow up drink caddy, that's a lot of fun. We put in color solar floating lights too. There's no end to the fun we're having in Hawaii with this silly plastic blow up circle. Enjoy an Aloha ...

Need pump - doesn’t work without it!
Does take roughly 10 mins to set up but without the pump it’s useless. There are three holes for pump placement that cannot be sealed for use. You need the pump too. I set up half way and ordered pump. ☹️

Wish we kept it
This was so easy to put together. It was comfortable and for 2 average size adults it fit us just fine with plenty of room to stretch it in. I had a mat to put underneath and a solar cover to put on during the day, as well as a floating chlorine filter and the plug in filter. We just wanted something inexpensive and something to the north of us. All of the other options seemed to be 2' depth Which would be way too short for us to just go home after work cool ourselves off in the hazy hot and humid days of summer. There were 2 areas to inflate. 1 on the top (kind of like a pillow cushion) and 1 for the rest of the body of the the pool. 10 minutes tops to set up with the plug in air pump that came with it . As the pool received a lot of sun and heat we would use the very convenient air pump maybe once a week the top top portion. My only regret is a year later we got rid of the pool as we stored it incorrectly in the shed and didn't feel like cleaning it out.. That was a mistake we definitely should have kept it.
