The handle to easy to hold. I rub it gently but firmly all around my face down towards my neck. It does not hurt, just little pricks on the skin. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the process. You run it over your entire clean face in 3 directions: vertical, horizontal & diagonal. I sterilize it with alcohol after using. I completely submerged the roller in alcohol for 10 minutes and then let it air dry. My skin always feels smooth, refreshed, and glowy afterward. It wasn’t that way right away but with consistent use I noticed a difference. Just be consistent, keep it clean, and your skin will thank you.

I ordered a derma stamper instead of a derma roller by mistake. I was not totally satisfied with the product, so I ordered this derma roller as a replacement. This derma roller does some things better than the derma stamper, but in other aspects, it’s not as good. The derma roller is small, and I wished the roller had more width because when using it on hard-to-reach areas, it’s challenging to keep the roller level on your skin. This is not an issue with the stamper, as it is easier to naturally align to your skin plane. The roller device is quite petite, but its case is large and very clam-shell-like. The stamper, on the other hand, does not have a case, just a cover; this works great for storage in an already overloaded gadget-filled bathroom. The roller would benefit from a snap-on cover, similar to what disposable razors and electric shavers have. As for usage, they both work well. For open areas, the roller is faster and easier to use. For hair areas like your scalp, the stamper works better, as the roller has limited rotation and can only turn about 140 degrees, after which it acts more like a brush.

I've been seeing that derma rollers are the all the rage so I wanted to try it out. This review is based upon just one use, but for someone who is brand new to this, I was very intrigued with this product. I washed my face, put on some toner and then lightly rolled this all over my face. Followed up with some serum and then night cream. Overall I was pleased with how it worked. It definitely was a prickly sensation, but not painful. I used light pressure for my first time but I can see myself working up to a little bit more pressure with time. Overall great impression of this product.

Very smooth on the skin

I don’t know what I was thinking. This is basically a roller that has very fine micro needles all over it. The theory is that you roll it against your skin or scalp or wherever and it creates tiny pricks to your skin. This sounds like a bad idea, but the claim is that by injuring your skin it will bring blood flow to that area (I originally thought—yeah, no joke!), and the overall effect will be positive since these injuries are very tiny. I don’t know if I agree with this theory, but I can tell you three things. 1) it did not make me bleed, 2) it was not painful, 3) after a while, I could not really see the point in using it. I would say for me, the effectiveness was very limited. Not a hard pass. Just a pass.
