It works for NYC apartments hanging windows!
It worked. First time I got my NYC apartment clean on the outside - couldn't be more thrilled with this tool. My window thickness came out to 15mm (awesome that they include the measuring tool with the product), and I was worried cause this D3 I bought is for thickness of 18mm and above. But it wasn't a problem. Important to note for all the "complaints" I saw from other reviewers- just don't go fast and you will have no problem with anything detaching or falling or whatever folks complain about. I think my before and after photos say it all

Much better than a filthy window
It sorta works. Glad I bought it. Cleaned a couple of filthy inaccessible high rise windows and did a decent job. Agree with instructions - you use the terry finishing cloth wet with dish soap if the window is very dirty. By the second wash the window is surprisingly clean. If you wash a third time it would be even better but the product is clumsy to use and I got tired and moved on to the next window. If the window isn’t too dirty would work ok on the first pass. Get both sides of the window soapy and wet, otherwise the squeegee side will drag and you may loose magnetic coupling. Plan on the product flopping off at least two times per window. That’s clumsy, noisy and frustrating. I was careful to anchor the tether cord securely, and to pull in the slack of the cord as I worked. When the product loses connection and flops off - it will bang the wall surface below the window. I don’t think the housing is heavy enough to break the windows of downstairs neighbors if you don’t reel in the slack. . We have single pane 5mm windows so I ordered the smallest model. They give you a calipers in the box to measure exactly and instruct you to contact them if the magnets don’t hold. I see the bigger magnets are more $$ online - not sure how their customer service would reconcile. I have a couple of lateral slider windows that you can’t reach to place the outside cleaner. I jury rigged a pole with Velcro- stuck the pole and outside component out the window, and caught it with the inside magnet - it worked fine. Yes, I am that guy. Our window frames are metal and the magnet of the product tended to flop on the edges. The sweeping motion shown in the videos takes a lot more effort than it shows - the product takes more force and attention than you think. Making sure both window sides are very wet reduces this effort. I was very surprised how clean the windows became. The edges weren’t great but I gave up after two passes. I’ll keep the item and use it once a year maybe if the building window washers are late and the windows are driving me crazy.

LOOK OUT BELOW! FALLING MAGNET!
In full disclosure, I love this product. It cleans my windows wonderfully. The technique I've established is if the window is very dirty, to Windex and use the squeegee side of the tool. Possibly a few times, up to 3 times I've needed to do on our condo windows in NYC. The glass will be streaky afterwards, I then apply Windex to the blue cloth that attached and go back over the window. This makes it near perfect. I'm extending a 1-star review due to a significant safety hazard. This product comes with a string that you hold and keep inside the window, assuming it will fall off the window. It will fall, regularly. No big deal, it has a string right? WRONG. See my photos. In one instance that this fell, it swung down and must've hit the frame of our window. It knocked the magnetic holder loose, and BOOM the magnet went flying to the ground. This is no ordinary magnet, it's heavy. Very heavy in fact, if it had hit someone, it would've inflicted a serious wound. I was able to recreate this same issue by just hitting the unit onto a solid surface and the magnet came loose again. To prevent this from happening, I applied Gaffers tape onto both holders to ensure it does not fly to the ground again, from our fourth floor condo in Brooklyn.

Finally able to clean my windows-Good customer service
I live on third floor and have several windows. They are difficult to clean on the outside. This product is my best option other than paying a professional. Pros: 1. Does a good job cleaning my windows 2. Relatively easy to use 3. Cleans inside and outside at the same time 4. Great customer service. I had an issue with a part on my set. Contacted Tyroler, and they sent me a whole new set right away. Cons: 1. Will not work on all window types. You have to be able to access one area on both sides of the window pane with both hands at same time. Due to this it will not work on fixed windows that don't open. Or bigger sliding windows that are wider/taller than your arm length. For example my living room window has three window pane sections. Middle section is fixed (about 6 ft wide) and the outer sections (about 3 ft wide) slide open horizontally towards the center. Cleaning the outside sliding sections are no issue. Center section requires two people beacuse my arms aren't long enough to reach around the outside section to reach the middle section by myself. One person has lean out and hold outside window cleaner while other person attaches the inside cleaner. 2. Takes a long time - two separate steps mean you have to clean windows twice. Add a third time if you have dirty windows (need to do squeegee step twice). Not a huge deal for me, but something to consider. 3. Would be nice if it came with at least two sets of microfiber towels. Overall This is a good window cleaner set that will save me money vs paying a professional.

You need a certain type of window...
Hmmm... I had to make a lot of adjustments to this tool for it to kind of work (so the price is too expensive). First, as another reviewer noted, the do magnets pop off when the tool falls and bangs agains the side of your building (and the tool does come loose and fall), so I bought some gaffer tape to hold the magnets in place. Second, I feel like this tool works well on a very specific type of window. I didn't realize that the directions want you to spray the outside of your window with window cleaner in order to use the tool. That works if you have another window next to your dirty window, or if your dirty window opens sideways. I don't have that situation-- my windows raise up, so I have to hang myself out the window and spray upwards hoping for the best... and the best is only half the window gets sprayed since the other half is raised up. So then I decided to wet the microfiber cloths, but they're so flimsy and two is just not enough. So then I had to MacGyver some swiffer pads on and soaked them. That worked... kinda. At the end of the day, if all I needed to do was wet some swiffer pads, I could have just made my own device for a lot less money.

Soak your windows with washing fluid and this works wonders
Went back and forth for years about buying this. I live in an old apartment building with double hung windows where the upper window has essentially been painting into place and cannot be lowered. So the original movement that allowed for cleaning doesn't exist. But with the pandemic, I am spending a lot of time indoors staring out the windows, so it seemed worth the investment to clean them. Enter the Glider. The hardest part about cleaning wasn't using the Glider, it was being able to pre-soak my windows. They had not been cleaned in 5 years so there was build up outside. I made a solution of hot water, a squirt of dishwashing liquid, and several generous glugs of vinegar, shook it up, and poured into a spray bottle. I used the spray bottle to soak the outside and the inside of the glass. Because when the window is open enough for my arm to extend out and spray the outside, it raises the upper portion out of reach, I could only hit the outside of the top by going in from the inside and spraying down. Once soaked, I tied off the safety string to the belt loop of my pants. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I attached the glider at the bottom of the window, closed it , and slowly raised the Glider vertically to the top of the window and began to "S" motion. As long as your window is soaked- this works amazing. I ended up doing a second go- because my windows were quite dirty. When I tried to pull the Glider straight up too quickly, it popped off- but the safety string tied on to my belt loop saved it a 3 story fall. My window is divided into two narrow panes - so just enough room for a very short S turn. I got the little fan tails that were missed by doing a last run pulling straight down with the Glider horizontal. This creates a lot of friction so go slow and soak the window inside and out. Cleaned up with the microfiber cloth- because the window had dried by this time, I wet the cloth with water and this part was way easier than the initial cleaning. My windows look amazing.

!!REALLY THINK ABOUT YOUR WINDOWS BEFORE YOU BUY!!
I do not think this product is worth the cost. I probably could have gotten similar results with a mop and a squeegee on a pole. Figuring out how to get the glider onto the top portion of the window was extremely frustrating and time-consuming. I live on the 3rd floor of a brownstone in NYC, with 5 huge double-paned windows, that are easily 7 feet tall each. 2 of them are South-facing, and you see every bit of dirt when the sun hits them. Because my windows overlap, with the bottom pane moving up to cover the top pane, it was really difficult to get the outside piece of the glider on the top part of the window. The magnet is strong enough to hold between 2 panes of glass, but not 4. My windows are so tall that once they're open I cannot reach a portion that's not overlapping. I would highly recommend thinking this through before you buy, and testing how high you can reach if your windows overlap. I tested several methods on 1 window that has a little roof below it, because I thought it would be safe for the glider to fall there, without me losing it. To get the glider on the top portion of my window I ended up having to jury-rig a pole to push it up to the top pane, then carefully close the bottom pane partially, place the interior portion of the glider on the window, and remove the pole. During my testing phase I had a LOT of drops, the green plastic pieces holding the magnets in easily fall out if the glider hits anything during a fall, and the magnets pop out. They're easy to put back in, but once I was working without the safety of the roof, I as terrified the glider was going to fall, the magnet pop out, and I would lose it into my neighbor's garden. The washing pretty much works as advertised. You have to go slowly and carefully and have a ton of water/cleaner for the squeegees to not stick. The microfiber cloths get dirty after the first use, especially if your windows aren't super clean to start with, and after that, I felt like I was basically just spreading dirt around on my windows. My first window turned out cleaner, but not great, with a lot of buildup around the edges, and where the two panes meet. My second window turned out slightly better, so maybe as you develop your technique it gets easier. Neither were streak free by any stretch of the imagination. I stopped after 2, because my front windows aren't as dirty as the back, and I'm considering whether it's worth moving forward with this imperfect method.

Ease of Use
I'm 63 years old and anytime that I can stay off from a ladder is a win. This product takes a little practice, but once you get it, it works great. Best invention ever. I love clean windows, and I have sliders, the only way to get to the outside, was by way of a ladder. Cleaning windows was a day long process dragging the ladder and climbing to the second story. Now I can clean them at my leisure. Make sure you get the right size. I had to send the first one back and reorder. I have the D-2. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought the next one up from mine (adjustable window cleaner). But mine works great. Five stars all around.

Beware
Few of our apartment's windows are extremely challenging to get cleaned and we hoped that this could help. The idea is nice but unfortunately there are several problems. First, it is very hard to guess the thickness of the window that accurately without the tool that you get with the product (when it's already too late). Our windows are bit hard to measure even with the tool but seem to be around 2 mm too thick. No one probably has that accurate sight to know by eye if the window is 2,8 cm or 3 cm. Second, the outdoor cleaning part drops very easily. So easily that I don't think it would work even if the window was 2,8 cm thick. Also, one of the magnets and the cover got loose almost immediately when the product dropped only once and only 10-15 cm. This happened way too easily and is not very safe especially if it would drop into someone from a tall building. Third, on the Amazon website we didn't see but 3 models and the picture where you were encouraged to check the right "size", there were shown only 3 models. However, now I found that they actually have more to choose from and that there are adjustable models. We would have picked another (and more expensive) option, if it would have been mentioned. I'm disappointed that we missed the chance to actually get a product that might have worked. I would suggest to advertise them better. Lastly, it is very easy to hurt your fingers with this, especially if you have to work in a tricky spot. In that respect, I'm not sorry that we didn't notice the more powerful model, and for that reason we are also not going to try it. For us this was unfortunately expensive trash. And the windows unfortunately stay much more dirty than we would like them to.
