ZlideOn Replacement zip slider 5C2, Black for Standard Invisible/Waterproof Fastenings, Black

My grandson had pulled the slider of his almost new anorak which was a good one so we tried very hard to repair it. Eventually we had to give up and then found these amazing sliders. Whilst I have nothing but good things to say about the product the sizing is really difficult. I had to order it three times to get the right size. It's not only the sizing the material of the zip as to whether it is metal or plastic, waterproof or invisible, measurement of teeth etc., all have to be taken into account. Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again. It was so easy to install.

This zlideon zip was very easy to fit and at first it successfully managed to zip up the jacket. However, after a week the two parts of the device were partially "open" and could not be "closed" again. The result was that this device could no longer zip the jacket up. On applying extra force to close the gap, the device broke and i threw it away in disgust. Its really only a very short term temporary fix at best. Not worth the money.

Very timely delivery (thank you Prime!). As described, one replacement zipper. I did expect the instructions in English, but the packaging and instructions are in French and the instruction picture on Amazon is in German. Not a big deal as it's fairly straight forward and not too difficult to do. Just be aware that opening the zlideon take quite a bit of effort (I managed to break the supplied opening wedge.. Once the Zlideon was opened it was very simple to attach it to the zip and reclose it so the zip worked once more. Be Aware this unit is for waterproof/ hidden zips if you are repairing a "normal" zip you will need a different part. All up it has done the job I bought it for.

Was dubious if this would work but it us genius and saved my wetsuit zip! Not cheap but well worth the money compared to cheaper ‚clip on‘ products which -in my experience- never work.

Instructions are not in English so I had to watch a video on YouTube but after eventually getting in on, it would not close the zip, so completely useless. I have a coil zip and this was for a coil zip.

Was not sure I had ordered the right zip slider as my broken one was imprinted 5C-T and I could only find 5C-2 or 5c2-2 replacement. Went for the 5C2. Instructions on the website not very clear so followed the diagram that came with it. Place the slider on a hard surface with the toggle on top. Have the toggle turned over away from the end that is open in the middle. Insert the plastic wedge in to the end that is open in the middle as far as it will go. Press the toggle down and at the same time press the thick end of the wedge down towards the hard surface - like pressing on both ends of a see saw. The slider popped open with ease, no force necessary. The slider then slipped on to the old zip with a little bit of coaxing. A gentle squeeze top and bottom of the slider and it snapped shut - works perfectly. Took less than a minute to do. My expensive anorak is now fully functional again thanks to Zlideon.

Bei meiner Gewa E-Bass-Tasche hat sich am Notenfach der RV-Schieber verabschiedet, schon sah ich mich mühevoll händisch einen neuen RV einnähen - oder gar eine neue Tasche kaufen... Dank eines Geistesblitz' beim RV-Problem eines Freundes fiel mir ein, dass es doch genau für sowas Reparaturschieber gibt. Nachdem es beim Bekannten geklappt hatte traute ich mich auch ein Ersatzteil zu bestellen. Dazu habe ich mir zuerst meinen RV genauer angeschaut. Es handelte sich um einen etwas größeren verdeckten RV. Auf der zlideon-website gibt es eine genaue Tabelle um herauszufinden, welchen Zlideon man zur Reparatur für seinen benötigt! Das ist für den bestmöglichen Reparaturerfolg wohl entscheidend, so zückte ich meine Schiebelehre und nahm Maß der Höhe des RV. Leider hatte sich mein RV komplett in zwei Hälften getrennt, so konnte ich seine Breite (im geschlossenen Zustand) nicht mehr zuverlässig feststellen, macht aber nichts, wenn man eine relativ gute Schätzung tätigt und die Höhe genau misst. So war dann recht schnell eindeutig, welches Modell ich bestellen musste. Kaum ausgepackt, war der RV auch schon repariert. Mit der Anleitung auf der Packung kommt man recht schnell zum guten Erfolg. Mit etwas Geschick war auch der in zwei Hälften getrennte RV schnell in den Schieber eingefädelt. Zusammenclippen und schon war der Defekt behoben, der RV fügte sich von selbst wieder zusammen. Bei nicht getrennten RV geht es wohl noch schneller, weil man den Schieber problemloser einfädeln kann. Nach erfolgreicher Funktionsprüfung habe ich noch wenige Tropfen Sekundenkleber in das Scharnier des Zlideons gegeben. Momentan bin ich sehr zufrieden, der Schieber lässt sich noch etwas streng bewegen, aber ich denke die Reparatur wird sich auf Dauer mehr als bewähren. Gerne gebe ich nach einiger Zeit ein Update! Volle Kaufempfehlung sofern man die Größentabelle beachtet.

Le plus délicat est de trouver la bonne référence avant de commander. Regarder au dos du curseur existant la référence gravée. C'est le plus important. Vérifier fermeture éclair à ouverture ou non.
