An OK product backed by incredible post product support
First, I would like to commend Coleman as a company for their excellent customer service and post product support. Prior to a camping trip, we purchased the eight person instant camping tent. We opened it and set it up as a test in our home yard to make sure all the equipment that came with. It was there and to make sure that we knew how to set it up. The set up is incredibly easy. It is a large tent and has some considerable heft so smaller people might need a buddy to help them. Move it around. Getting it back into his carrying bag can be a challenge. Unfortunately, when we got to our camping location and set up the tent in our first night while sleeping, we awoke to a metallic pain sound and one corner of the tent started drooping. Upon investigation, one of the metal tabs that locks into place on the roof structure. There was no significant weather, events or anything that we could think of that would cause the metal to pop and rip off. Using a ratchet strap, I was able to MacGyver the tent to stay in place for the remainder of our camping trip and then contacted Coleman. After sending them some photos of the situation, they immediately sent a replacement tent. If I were to do it all over again, we probably would not purchase this tint again, but I absolutely would purchase a different Coleman tent. The company support is incredible and for that I give them five stars. I give the product 3.5 stars.

Super fast setup, survived Burning Man
Took this to burning man this year, and it survived the storms and rain. Setup takes literally 1 minute (or less), which in my opinion is absolutely critical in some situations. Packing this thing into the bag is where you need to develop your own technique. But after doing this a few times, I can now take down and pack this tent in around 2~3 minutes (without expanding the bag! which you could totally do, but I decided to keep it tight). As per the usual with most tents, it says it can fit 6 people, and while it might be technically feasible, if you are all about the comfort then this will actually sleep 2 people comfortably (twin mattress + space for your items, which is what I did). This does NOT come with the rainfly which you need to purchase separately (and I'm really glad I bought it!). It is also not an insulated tent, so bring a warm sleeping bag with you if you plan to camp in the cold. Finally, this is NOT a blackout tent, and if you're sensitive to light then I have two things to tell you: 1. Bring an eye mask with you because this will allow quite a lot of light in (the material is thin). 2. The rain fly will darken things a bit, but still not dark enough for light sensitive people. Thankfully I can sleep even in direct sunlight so I did not have an issue with that, but I know people who can't so if this is you, get a blackout tent instead.

easy pop up tent
these tents are easy to assemble and dissemble and has many zip up windows the only thing i believe is wrong is that the 4 people tent holds two people maybe 4 if you wanna lay down like sardines and the 6 people tent may hold 4 people comfortably or 6 like sardines. set up is easy and easy instructions to follow

Roomy tent
Happy with this roomy tent. We had two cots and a dog sleeping with us with plenty of extra room.

Blackout tent great family choice
We fit 3 queen size items plus a little room for suitcases and bags. It was a tight fit for so many large mattresses. It was nice with so many people to have two doors and the divider wall. The kids did not respect the privacy during the day but I was able to nurse at night without worrying. This tent is DARK. Going from the light of day inside you need to open a window or have a lantern. You can definitely sleep in with this and good for afternoon naps. There's a hook in the middle for a lantern that worked great. The light can come through the floor where it pulls up the sides but this was not a problem for us plus our air mattresses covered most of it anyways. I was disappointed in the door zipper difficulties. We put the frame in the one side that comes with it but it was so hard to zip open and closed with the rain flaps and the taughtness. I would have preferred a straight up zipper for sneaking in and out, but the framed door is good for setting up. I would not have succeeded setting this up alone my kids had to help. I probably could have done everything but the rainfly alone with difficulties. This has a mesh top so you have to use the rain fly which makes for an airy tent and not ideal for cooler weather. Great for summer and warm weather. It set up kind of wonky not real straight, but it worked. It of course did not go down as small as it started. The ties were not long enough to re tie after use, but we did get it into the bag with much difficulty. I again couldn't do it alone the kids had to help.

Worth the price
This pops up so quickly and easily! Less than a minute and you can do it by yourself. We bought the 6-person tent. Down one star because to fit 6 people you would have to be sleeping on the ground side-by-side. There would be no room for your bags let alone air mattress. We fit a queen size air mattress and a twin size air mattress and had room for bags. Also, it didn't come with a top cover so we had to put our EZ-Up over the tent when it rained. But overall, great tent for the price.

Easy assembly as long as your tent doesn't come with incorrect assembly from the factory!
We had this tent before and in a rush to pack up during a downpour I twisted a leg funny and it broke. However, we liked it well enough to grab another one the next time we saw a good price. This time the tent was assembled incorrectly at the factory, which made the initial setup a giant pain. We were able to track down the problem (two of the legs had been installed upside down so were unable to extend- we used a screwdriver to take it apart at the joints and correctly assemble). Good: - If you don't get a defective tent the setup is very quick and easy - Light blocking is fantastic - Nicely placed doors and windows Bad: - Defective assembly from the factory was a pain to deal with - Our front door zipper began to fail after just 2 camping trips. It would become stuck, requiring us to very carefully ease it open. - The legs that make assembly easy also make it pretty delicate. You have to be very careful and ideally have several sets of hands folding it up nicely, because if a leg becomes twisted it's easy to break. -

As always Colmen made another great product
So my wife found a and think it was there trail or new product instant tent at one of the membership box stores years ago for like 150.00 bucks a 8 or 10 person tent and she got it was game changer. We camped tent for years and tent poles and all that aswell we had our year old one too took long time. That have to say tent seem heavier material and no vent on roof. It's been through Jackson lake Colorado winds out in the open and hail ect never let us down this one I think isn't as tough but still in the ball park. So we used it this past weekend for the kids and friends and our children were able to put it up with out our help they figured it out wow memories of tenting. Anyway it's a warmer weather tent we did use a heater and lol it got to hot. It's a great tent for what we need now but not a cooled weather tent. Have add the stakes are solid ones even the the smaller stakes are heavy duty the rain fly works great u can see no rain coming in if it did rain.
