The line ‘struck’ is clear, although (as with all laser line devices) if the unit is off to one side at an angle, you may end up with a fatter line than if it was perpendicular to the wall. That’s where skill & judgement comes in. Value for money, I expect so, it’s a sturdy beast, came in a decent ABS(?) latched box. The laser is bright & clear, can be turned down for battery save or when working in darker environments for example. You’ll still need a straight edge & tape measure, but you won’t need 3 hands.
