You can really use this at any age. I bought for myself to do wit my teenage daughter. Her and I both love it. It actually made my sons (ages 9, 10, & 12) jealous and they painted with us too. Even included my toddler! Easy to use, comes with all the needed tools, only need is water and paper. I do recommend buying correct water color paper. The paints work well, and the color quality is accurate and really nice. Good amount in size, a great value.

This was so fun to gift my kids. They each have their own little case to pull out when they want to pair, and it’s an easy cleanup. Colors work just as well as any watercolor set. It’s not tiny, but small enough that it’s easily stored away or easy to bring along on trips. It’s such a cute design also. I love that it’s tin, so it can be roughed up a bit.

I wanted an inexpensive set of paints that I could travel with and use on different types of materials. This one fits the bill! It includes a vast selection of pearlescent colors as well as basic and a few metallic. I always make a test card of colors, as colors look so much different on paper. This set comes with labeled color cards that you paint yourself. Although it's a tedious, time consuming job, it's well worth it. These are mine. Some colors aren't heavily pigmented, but with so many choices, I think I'll find a color for whatever I need. Highly recommended for casual painting!

The case is nice made of metal with quality closures. Lots of variety of colors. It’s compact but not too small and great to travel with.

This is a great student palette. You can't beat the value for the money. There are tons of colors and several metallic finishes. The pigmentation is quite good. The metallic colors like copper, gold, brass, bronze, silver (more gun metal grey) are metallic as well as some lighter tones. The reds, blues, and greens, not so much. I'd describe some of them as more of a muted satin finish. The metallics I'd be more inclined to use, do look pretty good. I've yet to swatch the metallics on black to give them a real chance to shine. There is a great array of colors for the beginner to explore, and far more than any artist would need as many can be made by mixing primary and secondary colors. That being said, it might be a bit much for the minimalist artist on the go would need. However , for the at home hobbyist this is a lovely set. The colors blend well. Not any appreciable granulation, however salt and spritz methods could render desired effects. I was impressed by the ease of the water pen/brushes to use. My first time, what a boon not needing a cup of water, save for a vessel to refill the water pen/brushes. I used paper towels between color changes. The white bristles are now stained, but no transfer of color, what so ever. AND THEY DIDN'T LEAK!

Beautiful set! Love everything about it! The case is pretty and sturdy! The added velvet pouch is nice to include all the little extras along with the case. The paints seem to be good quality. Overall, just really enjoying how easy this whole setup is. Good value!

Really nice set of watercolor paints. Gorgeous colors. I've only just started playing with it and can already feel these are better quality than what I already had. These paint blocks are so smooth, and when you add the water & paintbrush, it's like magic. The colors are vivid and the pigment is strong. It's very enjoyable to use these paints. I love that they provide the test sheets so you can see the colors before you decide which ones you want to use in your project. They also include brushes & the watercolor brushes that you put water in. The metallic colors are beautiful! The florescent ones are very full of pigment and so bright and cheerful. Very nice set that I would recommend strongly. I think beginners & experienced watercolor artists alike would enjoy working with these. I'm going to be sad when these start getting used up. I would definitely buy these again.

Nice little set for a good price. Vivid colors and a nice variety. The pans are a little small, but it’s an inexpensive set.
