it's a nice globe, but countries are deformed as all heck
I like the globe. It is actually slightly larger than I imagined. I purchased it for decoration, and not educational purposes so it suits the needs. I wish the countries were more accurate ( for example Ireland and most island nations are just rectangles. Italy is deformed. Can't tell if the blue rectangle is part of Africa, or supposed to be Sicily. Florida is cut off at Tallahassee) But again it is solely for decoration, and is pleasing.

We bought this as a birthday gift for a geographer friend of mine. She was really happy with it's quality. The only negative is that the country shapes are very generalized, but that's to be expected with a globe at this price. Overall we're really happy with it!
