Needless to say, I was excited about starting Going in Circles, but it didn't wow me like You Take it From Here did. The story and the characters were mildly entertaining and the plot was not predictable, which is always great. But, overall I felt like there were too many ancillary characters with their own side stories that detracted from the main story. And all the detailed scenes and descriptions about roller derby were completely lost on me. I know very little about roller derby and really have no interest in the sport so maybe I was not the target market for this book. For me, this book was just okay. If you understand roller derby then it might be more entertaining.Having now read two of her books, I will definitely check out some of her other titles. While this book wasn't really up my alley, her writing is insightful and fun and I can't wait to check out what else she has done. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Enjoyable Read *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 16, 2011* I was just recommending this book to a co-worker when I thought I might as well recommend it to others as well! I've been a fan of Pamela's since she wrote for TelevisionWithoutPity (Gilmore Girls!) and I continue to be a fan of hers to this day. As a girl who has recently gone through some heartbreak myself, I could really relate to the need to make A Plan to get out of bed and do the things you need to do. I'm not a derby girl myself but enjoyed how the main character threw herself into something unfamiliar and was then able to piece together her life. I enjoy Pamela's conversational writing style and would buy and read any book she writes!
