Excellent quality fan brush.
This fan brush is designed to provide sparse feathery strokes with watercolor, yet holds plenty of pigmemt. Good snap as well for excellent application. This is a very high quality, well made product.

Vario tipped Fan Brush performs great!
I have other regular fan brushes but for watercolor you really want vario tip fans for grass painting. I trimmed my other brushes to do what this one does. Great brush.

Good fan brush
Good fan brush. I just wish the manufacturer made wider choices. In art group, someone showed me what a fan brush is. I was painting tree up high. He wound up giving me that brush and I use it 99% of the time. This brush has been used for centuries, yep that beat up. It was stiff synthetic material and there some large gaps between bristles. Da Vinci brushes are up there with very few others when it comes to quality. I have a number of them and they work supremely. Buy them, but I just hope you not a beginner buying brushes. In hindsight I should have gone to an art supply to browse and learn.

Finally, a great Fan Brush
I had almost given up finding a good, well-made fan brush. The other "reliable" brush manufacturers have really disappointed me with the hairs falling out and brush handles coming loose after only a few uses. Their quality has really gone from good to very poor, to really bad. If you want really nice brush strokes, don't even bother! This da Vinci Series seems to aim for real quality in their brush line.

Beautiful brush for special use.
Large brush and ideally Zi would have a smaller version too, but this is a nicely made brush that I will have for years. I like using it in dry brush foregrounds. I twist it at different angle to achieve the look I want.

This is the first brush i have used to splatter paint well and also create fine design eg dandelion seed heads etc. Love it

Great brush for spiky , furry or grassy brush strokes. Hedgehog for example.
