I have numerous digestive and gut problems so got this to try and improve it. Sadly it did not. This is not the fault of the product, it is down to my dodgy body. The product tastes sweet and could serve as a healthier sweetener than sugar or dodgy man-made chemicals. It does not mix great and can go lumpy. The price is good for just how much you get in terms of servings. It is one of those products where if you already know you need it then it is just fine. If you are experimenting like I did then you will have to see how it all pans out.

Lets' start with the taste: CANDY FLOSS, it tastes like candy floss and has a similar consistency but it's a little more chewier. I actually look forward to taking it because of the yummy candy floss taste, I just dip a teaspoon in the powder and take it like that...enjoying the taste. If you like the taste of candy floss, don't waste time putting it in your coffee, or water, or juice-just put it in your mouth! Now then, I've read about people saying they've had digestive issues when taking this... So, I looked up on probiotics, prebiotics, digestive enzymes, and the information given to people on dosage isn't going to help everybody. Some say 5g, some say up to 10g...no wonder people are getting issues. I heard about taking 1/8 of a teaspoon to begin with and that is how much I started off with, well no issues, after about a week it changed to 1/6 of a teaspoon, then soon after 1/4 and now I take 3/4 of a teaspoon, so it seems the key is to build it up gradually. I've had loose stools and this has helped, the first time I took the 1/8 teaspoon it's like I could feel it going down and I felt something in my stomach, it wasn't unpleasant, more like its in my stomach and its doing something to help...and I have to say I feel if I'd taken the 10g the first time I bet it would have been unpleasant. Try it and maybe take it easy and take a little bit at a time...

I've had other pure inulin powders before, and while they do taste very mildly sweet, it's barely noticeable. On the other hand this powder tastes sweet, and as another reviewer noted, has much higher carbohydrate as sugar content than the product photos show. If you want inulin that serves as a sweetener then this is fine, but if you're looking for inulin without sugar, look elsewhere

Taste nice but found it clumped together after opening, think it need to be in a better sealable container, or transferred to a jar as I wasted over half of it as it was rock solid
