Then packaged inside another box with nothing but a UPS shipping label. Unfortunately, it clearly WAS dropped and the ends of the stator rub up against the rotor. SO...I will be reordering. This genny is solidly built and even in this condition only has minor cogging and would normally be easily turned by hand. Good job guys! Update: The return was quick and effortless. Replacement in fine shape. Not how much to produce power minimally.** A: Hello, Torque, power and speed are all related by the equation: Power=Torque X Speed We cannot determine the torque without knowing more about power and speed. For example, if there is no electrical load connected to the PMA, there will be no power produced and there will be no torque required to spin it. In this case, the PMA will spin freely. On the other hand, if the electrical load has very low resistance, such as a short circuit across the output terminals, the current will be very high and the torque required to spin it will be very high. For your design work, you might assume some power ranges and speed ranges to determine the torque. ~WindGenKits **Q: Where can i buy the vertical turbine? also what else do i need aside this kit? a pole, rectifier, turbine, battery?** A: You will need a rectifier bridge, a turbine charge controller, and a grid-tie inverter to convert the rectified DC into 110/220v AC. The grid-tie inverter is the cheaper option and negates the requirement for batteries but has the down side that when the grid goes down, so does your system. As to the turbine arms and blades, I have not found a reliable manufacturer to purchase a factory-made system. VAWT blades can be easily manufactured in your own workshop from a variety of scrap materials. The support arms are another story. They can be homemade but the raw material is expensive. **Q: The images shows braket & clamps.
