Mount works great, easy to see direction of scan
I have owned an Escort for many years. Used to have a Cobra and also a Uniden, but this Maxcam 360 is the bomb. It works well and the magnetic windshield mount has held firm for months now. I take it off every time I am going to be out of car for more than and hour. Very easy to remove and remount when ready to drive. The case is well made and the radar detector fits perfectly. The volume is a little loud and I had old software on my phone, I think if I just upgrade the app, I can control it like I used to with my old 360c (heat finally killed it after about 3-4 years-24/7 in car).

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! Radar is great / Video is USELESS!
DO NOT waste your money on this piece of garbage. Video quality is ok, but to get anything off this piece of junk, you sit in your car for 25 min (when it actually connects to the crappy app) and it fails almost every time to download a video. It disconnects from your phone, wifi and bluetooth are unstable and half the time the video freezes while trying to watch it, and the radar detector goes into parking mode. (Which powers it down and drops your connection.. guess what you have to start all over.) I bought this for its camera function. Dont waste your money. Great as far as a radar detector goes, it works perfect. But 300$ extra for this model to have video is a rip off. Dont make my mistake.!!

Expensive but probably worth it
I had the Cobra Road Scout and it was beyond disappointing. Simply put, the camera in the Road Scout is OK but the radar function was abysmal. And it completely failed after three years. I've had the MaxCam for a few weeks and it's impressive. Very few false alarms in places I know they exist and it seems to have great reception qualities for incoming radar or other threats. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Worth It!!
so I just made this purchase recently and so far it saved my butt two times I was about half a mile to a mile away from the trooper and God notified so I have plenty of time to slow down and the dash cam built in is just a plus overall would like if the dash cam quality was a bit better but overall 10 out of 10 product

Bulky design and persistent technical failures
I had high expectations for this unit given the premium price point, but it has been a major disappointment. For an investment that sits near the $1,000 mark, I expected a seamless experience, but it has been anything but that. Quality & Ease of Use: The design is incredibly bulky—it feels like having a 1980s-era cell phone hanging from the windshield. It isn’t discreet at all. Furthermore, the ease of use is hampered by constant prompts to format the SD card. Because it refuses to record video until formatted, the dash cam functionality is essentially useless when you actually need it. Installation & False Alarms: The installation relies on a magnetic window mount. While convenient to attach, it makes the unit an incredibly easy target for a "smash and grab" theft. I also struggle with constant power issues; I haven't determined if it's the cable or the unit, but it’s unreliable. Range & Value for Money: While the range is decent when it actually stays powered on, the false alarms and software bugs make it hard to justify the cost. Overall: I wish I had chosen a more discreet, reliable detector. This tries to do two things at once (radar and video) but fails to do either one well enough to justify the high price. It definitely does not offer good value for money.
