**Q: Can I use this instead of actual cocoa powder to give a chocolate flavor to a protein shake?**
A: I wouldn't, I used this to put in my homemade Kahlua recipe. It is superb in Kahlua. You might check directly with the company who makes it. Good luck and be safe.

**Q: Does it have a strong chocolate smell?  It's what I'm looking for.**
A: Some when the bottle is open but not so much when added to coffee, etc

**Q: Is this gluten free?**
A: There are two pictures on the item page; one shows the ingredients. Alcohol is one of the ingredients which could possibly be distilled from mash containing gluten

**Q: I was looking to mix this flavoring with sugar. Would this work for my applications? Would it evaporate?**
A: Haven't tried it but if you kept it tightly covered it may work. I'd be more concerned about clumping than evaporation since it's a liquid.
