I think they work great... **Q: it says "preservative free in the eye" . it does not have the warding on the box or bottle. why?** A: The preservative they use (apparently sodium perborate,) is called a "disappearing preservative" by other manufacturers that use it. It apparently decomposes soon after you put it in your eye. This is apparently better then "the old" preservatives, especially benzalkonium chloride" (BAK), which I and most other folks with bad dry eye avoid "like the plague". It is hard to avoid BAK. ALL the cheaper drops seem to have it. Strange that the manufacturer avoids this issue. I presume it is because of copyright or trademark issues to do with wording. If I remember correctly "Genteal" was the first to use what it described a a "disappearing preservative" in about 2010 or so. It is of note that any preservative could probably cause some folks problems. "YMMV" (your mileage may vary : ) There is only one (that I know of) bottled artificial tear product that is unpreserved. I tried it and had a "3 out of 5 star" experience as the bottle (which had a special "filter" built in to prevent contamination) was pretty hard to use: it required a LOT of "squeeze" (& I'm a guy with pretty strong hands). Many users so complained. It was too expensive and troublesome. The whole preservative question is very important. You can cause blindness and other horrible outcomes really quickly using a contaminated product (which the preservatives help to prevent). EXERCISE ALL CAUTION with eye drops!
