Ride the beam.
The Dark Tower has so many facets, this is a small but very memorable peice of the story. Well worth the wait.

Stephen king writing children's books. Love it!
I've never waiting rainforest this book to be published for 20 years. Love it that they have wrote it as beryl Evans and is just like I imagined it.

Interesting curio from King's Dark Tower universe
Charlie the Choo-Choo will be familiar to readers of Stephen King's Dark Tower series of books, in which the book plays a part. Ostensibly by an author called Beryl Evans (or a certain Mrs Bachman, if you've read that far along in the Dark Tower books), the story's words are actaully from the pen of Stephen King himself. The story is quite simple, and will be familiar to anybody who has read Thomas the Tank-Engine books; an old-fashioned locomotive becomes redundant when replaced by a brand-spanking new diesel engine, but is later called upon to save the day. In this regard, the book would seem to be perfectly suitable for small children. However, it's fair to say that some of the pictures look rather disturbing; the cover picture is a case in point; Charlie's face looks rather nasty and gloating, and are the children inside the train really laughing? I wouldn't be too sure about that... Whilst something of a curio, this is a good (if very short) story link to The Dark Tower series, and will be of interest to Stephen King fans as a result. It is very short, as one would expect from a children's picture book, but nevertheless it's a worthwhile addition to the collection of any King fan. And whilst children might enjoy it, it has to be remembered that it does have its unsettling aspects. Four stars.

Awesome to have. If you are a fan of The Dark Tower series put this in your collection.
