I bought my Dyson V8 about two years ago. When it was brand new, it could run roughly 45 minutes on the regular setting. Over time the original battery degraded, and now I only get around 30 minutes in normal mode. On Max power, it only lasts about 20 minutes, which was frustrating. I often had to stop cleaning halfway and wait for it to recharge. I got this EGR 9000mAh replacement battery. It fits my V8 perfectly. Installation wasn’t hard, and I appreciated that it came with new filters and screws included in the package. After installing it, the runtime is noticeably better. I can clean my whole place in one pass without the vacuum cutting out mid-job. Suction stays consistent. It’s nice not having to plan my cleaning around short battery limits anymore. This is a solid upgrade!

My Dyson V8 was pulsating so I did the troubleshooting steps recommended on Dyson’s website. I replaced the filters and cleaned the machine, taking it apart completely. No blockages but once I got it back together, it started the pulsating again. I’ve done this several times and still have the same issue. Dyson isn’t helpful now that the vacuum is three months out of warranty. I was getting ready to throw it out and switch to Miele when I saw this battery. Another reviewer had the same issue and the battery solved it so I decided to try it. I charged the new battery before using it and the vacuum is now running better than when I first got it. With the old Dyson battery, I got about 15 to 20 minutes on low setting and less than 10 minutes on the high setting, which meant I couldn’t really finish vacuuming a 750 SF house. With this new battery, I don’t need to use the high setting nearly as much since it seems to have the same suction on the low setting as the Dyson battery had on high. I was able to vacuum my whole house on low setting with half the charge left. Other reviewers said that with this battery it was a tight fit on the charging station, making it a little difficult to remove. I did notice that the door on the debris canister did not shut smoothly so I reseated the new battery, holding it tightly down while I attached the screws. The door then closed smoothly and it sits better on the charging station so it’s as easy to remove as the original. Overall, this battery is great, much better than Dyson’s branded battery and literally half the price. It definitely saved my vacuum from going in the trash!

After 3 years of normal uses, my V8’s original battery finally gave up on me. When turning on MAX, the machine would stop working and battery was hot. This replacement comes with 3-times larger capacity (9000mAh vs original 2800mAh) and it perfectly fits my V8. The new battery last much longer than the original, but it also gets hot after uses just like the original one. The manual says do not charge battery when it is hot. So I will pay attention to it after each use. Great product!

Bought to replace the battery in my dyson v8 animal - perfect, very easy fit, came with a screwdriver driver and extra screws which is ideal. The battery life lasts significantly longer than the original battery which is noticeable when using full power. Charges using the original dyson charger. The build quality is great too. Having the filters included is an extra bonus and good value for money. Overall im happy with this purchase

Not much to say about this other than it’s absolutely well worth getting one. I’ve not timed it, but this clearly more than triples the life span of my previous battery. Takes a little while longer to charge, of course, but it slots in easy, doesn’t add much extra weight and just… works. Great stuff.

Ho un immortale Dyson V8 per cui cambio periodicamente filtri e spazzole. Ogni 2/3 anni però si rende necessaria una sostituzione del pacco batterie (utilizziamo l'aspirapolvere quasi tutti i giorni). Questo kit ha tutto, ovviamente la batteria ma anche i filtri - identici agli originali! L'installazione è piuttosto semplice, basta rimuovere un paio di viti (nel pacco ci sono anche quelle di ricambio in caso e un piccolo cacciavite a croce) e il gioco è fatto. Sulla durata della batteria per il momento mi ritengo pienamente soddisfatto. Venivo da una 5000mah e questa è da 7000mah, con praticamente lo stesso ingombro. Nel caso dovessi notare cali di prestazione e durata inaspettati aggiornerò la recensione.
