love this even more than the reg cerave, removes make up instantly, also leaves skin hydrated, hardly ever need a moisturizer afterwards. my skin is amazingly clean and soft, love the feel of my skin afterwards. I have dry skin that can be sensitive around the eyes, and I often struggle with mild perioral dermatitis. This does not irritate my skin at all. This is my favorite face wash because I can get a really good clean, including removing makeup, while still maintaining my skin barrier and not feeling dried out. It creates a really nice, soft lather that feels luxurious. Before this one came out, I used their original "moisturizing face wash" and I liked it fine, but sfter using this and trying to use that other one again, I just couldn't. The other one does not lather or foam at all, which is off-putting (think rubbing slime on your face), and it left my face feeling almost waxy. No-go. Definitely prefer this one. The scent is just an unscented soap, kind of similar to an unscented body lotion. Not bad, not great, but personally I don't care how it smells; I just rest easy knowing it's high quality ingredients that won't harm my skin. I follow this up with vitamin c serum, hyalauronic acid serum (a must if you have dry skin like me), and cera ve's AM moisturizer.

I like that this doesn’t strip my skin of all moisture and is gentle on it, not provoking my rosacea or extreme dryness. I wish the smell was more pleasant but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. It also doesn’t really foam much for me but it cleans like it should so I can overlook that also. It’s an overall good product with only some relatively minor drawbacks.

I even tried switching to other versions from the same brand, and my skin missed this one. The cream to foam formula hits the perfect middle ground between gentle and effective. Normal skin, late 40's, minimal makeup wearer but always wearing water and sweat resistant SPF. I've always been a fan of double cleansing (oil/balm + wash), and had never tried this brand before. It was on sale so thought I'd give it a try. I absolutely LOVE it. There was no sensitivity for me, it got my SPF off (I did use a microfiber face towel as well), and my skin fells so clean yet moisturised afterwards. Will definitely be getting again. I also love the huge size making it very economically priced.
