Bought this purely for the purple hue to add some 'mood' lighting to the bedroom. The lighting level is just right for my purposes. The myriad of colour options and effects are wasted on me! Although I had some fun with the red colour so that my neighbours think I'm a devil worshipper. Can tell this is a robust, good quality cable and still going strong after a few months. Easy to fit if sticking down with strong double sided tape - I used the plastic wall clips for corners and it was quite awkward to insert the cable but managed to wiggle it in with a flat head screwdriver. Remote works well and timer option is useful. Magic.

I bought these to add to the 'twinkly lights' decoration on my motorcycle ahead of a Santa charity run. Main criteria were that it had a reasonable LED density, was USB powered, waterproof and not super expensive. Ticked all the boxes... 5M length is pretty much bang on for my use, 3M would have been too short. First reaction opening the box was that the strip is a fair bit chunkier than I expected, but that actually turned out to be a plus; whilst it's flexible it's still stiff enough to retain a shape, meaning I didn't have to go to silly extremes to fix it on the 'bike. I suspect if you're going to use it more conventionally you'll want a few more clips than are supplied with the strip, or maybe double-sided tape, unless your just doing straight lines. The included remote control gives you a fairly basic range of options, the app is pretty decent and lets you quite easily do far more by way of customisation. The LEDs are bright enough to give a decent display in full daylight even though it's only using 5v USB power. I ran the strip and the original 'twinkly lights' LED strip from a 22.5W power bank for roughly 7 hours, also recharging a 1350 mAh action camera battery, and used about 85% of the power bank capacity. The power bank and connectors were in the top box; this is important as whilst the strip is IP68 waterproof, the connector/controller definitely is not. There's a thin 1m 3-wire cable between the control box and the main strip making it easy to tuck the unprotected bits out of the way. Haven't had to fully test the waterproofing, happily(!), but there's nothing about the construction that suggests it might be dodgy. Something of an impulse last-minute buy, but very pleased with the outcome.

Great lights but sticky pads not the best

Half the strip didn't work, poor overall item, pay extra and needed is asap, delayed a project I was working on -- Update sept 2025 !! The seller reached out to me and send me a replacement one which was perfect and worked!! Amazing customer service and would use again !!

item arrived but no remote to control the lights, there is a button on plug to activate them but not all settings,fortunately the app actually works so I can change settings from there, but they are advertised to come with the remote so for that its losing a star, I can't comment on how well they stick as in the process of doing the bedroom up but they do come with hooks also

This is the second set of these I have ordered. I use them outdoor and eventually the USB-A connection rusted so it would no longer work. I wish these were USB-C instead. The lights themselves are plenty bright and have a nice spectrum of color.

The product is trash! The app does not work, you can't even find it in the app store. There was no hardware included in my order, I asked for a replacement. Customer service offered a discount because the app doesn't exist on Android but then when I told them I requested a replacement order (you know, because you need the hardware to install the lights) they refused to follow through with a discount because the company would "lose money." Well it's the company's fault for advertising something that does not work as intended! SAVE YOURSELF AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

My son wanted this to wrap around his TV stand while he plays Xbox. Syncing it to his music is his favorite thing to do, and it's neat to watch them change color with the beat of the song he's listening to. They were easy to install and have stayed in place now months later. I've had more expensive versions that only lasted a month or two, and these are still going strong six months later. A great value for what you're getting.

The lights work great, but the app doesn’t. The lights do all the motions and scenes but the app doesn’t let you set the schedule timer to turn on and off. It keeps resetting when you close the app. If the timer doesn’t work, whats the point

Got this set to use as ambient lighting for my new PC desk and so far I am mostly happy with it. The main disappointment is the lack of options when it comes to selecting saturation/shading. I would like to be able to get a warmer white light by using just the remote but I'm stuck with a mustar-ey color between red and green. One good t hing I missed at first was the ability to change light intensity, that's always a welcome feature. I noticed that if the usb dongle is unplugged it will remember the last light setting (color and brightness level). The fasteners were of very poor quality, I had 2 screws snap their heads when trying to install them into my oak desk top. I've never seen a screw fail that way.
