Was delivered fast and works great. The audio setting is nothing impressive, but I didn't expect it to be.

Absolutely spectacular gift for any boy or girl or even adult who is fascinated with science and electricity. The ball is amazing! My son saw this at a field trip he had and mentioned it to me. So I knew exactly what he was talking about and I gave it to him as a gift. Unfortunately, my 5 year old daughter was transferring it to another table. She didn't drop it, but her body swiped it and it fell off the table and shattered... Glass everywhere! If it had decent rubber no-slip pads /feet underneath, this would not have happened since she slightly brushed against it with her tiny body. The other thing I wasn't happy with was that the plasma ball would not 'dance' to music. Didn't matter how loud and how many beats, it didn't respond. In that mode, it only responded to someone facing at it with their mouth and yelling. Each yell would cause it to activate for a short burst. That is why I am giving it 4 stars. I accept responsibility and hold myself accountable. But such a lightweight fragile glass device with no sturdy rubber feet to prevent it from sliding? A shame.

The plasma ball itself is great. But I've only been able to enjoy it for a little bit. The power cord it came with was defective. The electrical supply was fine, but the physical barrel plug that fits into the socket on the base of the globe was defective. If I didn't have the plug in a certain way, the ball didn't have any power. It took me a couple tries over 2 days to figure out what was wrong and how to make it work. Using a multimeter to test the power showed that the power supply was working. I eventually took it from my shelf over to my test workbench to try a different outlet and a different cord. And the existing cord worked until I moved the barrel plug in the socket. I inspected the barrel and there are tiny dents around it that seems to prevent the outside spring electrical contact from making physical contact. It was very reliable on what position allowed the lamp to work and what didn't. I tried another 12v power cord with the same size barrel plug and it worked in any orientation of the plug. This is not a reflection of this seller or even the manufacturer of the ball, but of the maker of the tiny little barrel plug. And that might just be a limited defect to the one I got. Fortunately, it's the same size and style of Arduino power plugs and I had a 12v2A replacement on hand to swap out. I also have replacement barrel plugs, so I can cut that defective one off and wire in a new one. Too bad I only have straight plugs and not the 90 degree plugs that this lamp uses. If I could take half a star off, I would, but I can't and I can't justify a full 5 stars with the plug the way it is. And it's not worth the hassle of sending the whole lamp back for a replacement. I have the different power cord and the lamp set up on my shelf, so I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Plug in option is awesome - only way to go even tho has battery option. . Globe is good size, bright, options for audio reaction too. Searched a lot - So glad picked this one - perfect . Great for night light.

My son loves this. We haven’t had it long yet, but the kids in our house are not easy on toys. This one has lasted so far without any issues. It’s very fun.

Work great as a night light

Less than 2 months of use has resulted in a broken product. First of all. This feels nothing like the plasma balls used to. It feels light and cheap. Thin plastic like glass. Ran for less than 2 months and now it does not run or react properly anynore. I do not recommend buying this product.
