A reassuring and sensitive book - the perfect springboard for talking to children about sharing their hidden worries. From the Big Bright Feelings series by Tom Percival Be open, be honest, be you! Big Bright Feelings for little people. 'If your child has a worry - and all children do have worries - this is the ideal book to encourage them to talk about it' Parents In Touch Ruby loves being Ruby. Until, one day, she finds a worry. At first it's not such a big worry, and that's all right, but then it starts to grow. It gets bigger and bigger every day and it makes Ruby sad. How can Ruby get rid of it and feel like herself again? A perceptive and poignant story that is a must-have for all children's bookshelves. From Tom Percival's bestselling Big Bright Feelings series, this is the perfect book for discussing childhood worries and anxieties, no matter how big or small they may be. Review: Amazing series - This is a beautifully written book for young children who are dealing with big feelings. After buying this, I am slowly adding to the collection, as we live reading it together. Such a simple story with a clear message. It helps to start a bigger conversation about the importance of talking and sharing our problems. I love it, and actually think most adult's would benefit from the simplicity of this book, not just children. Review: Gentle, engaging and an excellent tool for starting conversations about feelings - Rubyโs Worry is a wonderfully written and illustrated story that introduces the concept of anxiety in a way thatโs easy for children to understand. It follows Ruby, a cheerful girl who suddenly finds herself followed by a worry that grows the more she ignores it - a simple but powerful metaphor for how anxieties can build over time. The illustrations are bright and expressive, full of colour and warmth, which keeps even younger readers engaged while reinforcing the emotional story. The message - that talking about worries helps them shrink - is delivered with just the right balance of honesty and reassurance. Itโs a book weโve returned to many times, particularly as our eldest has grown and started to experience her own moments of worry or self-doubt. Itโs written clearly enough that she can now read it independently, but I still find value in reading it together and using it as a gentle way to start discussions about feelings. Itโs part of a wider series that tackles different emotions, and this one, in particular, stands out for its clarity, empathy and accessibility.

Another beautiful story...
I have been so looking forward to this book - we loved "Perfectly Norman" which was, indeed, perfect for us, and this next picture book from Tom Percival is just as lovely! There are not many books around for this age group on worries, so this is a very welcome addition. Beautiful use of colour and a contemporary feel to it make this a great read for any child but additionally very useful to use with children who may be showing signs of anxiety. I would happily use this with children in Infants or lower Juniors (child dependant of course) and can't wait to share it with my son (aged 9 but we still love to share picture books together). Can't wait to see what Tom's next book is about!

Lovely pictures, nice language, great message
This book is really great! bought it for reading in preschool and after-school groups - will work excellent there. The language is nice and easy to understand even for bilingual children, pictures are lovely and sweet, the message of story is very positive and gentle. The book arrived very promptly, safely packed in a good condition. Very satisfied with this purchase, and yes, definitely recommend the book for children aged 3-6 years! I watched Read Aloud of this story on YouTube prior ordering, also was positively impressed by the content. Excellent book!

Great for normalising worry
Lovely book to introduce to children around worries. Its very eye catching and I love the illustration style. Gives children an insight into worries/anxiety and how to deal with it. I found it helped to start conversations around what worries the child had and what it feels like (I was a trainee child therapist and found this book helpful)

My 3yo boy loves it
I like how they make "worry" into a furry ball with unibrows. And the story is very easy for my boy, and it also tells him that it's normal to feel worried. And it offers a solution for when he's worried. We both enjoy the book so much!

I really enjoy the book as do my students, unfortunately, it is exactly the same book as Ruby finds a worry and is $6.00 more.

Love love love this book!
I borrowed this from the library for my daughter and loved it enough to buy a copy. It's a high quality board book that is sturdy and not going to get damaged easily. I have always been a worrier and I think having this book as a kid might have helped. Im a huge fan of this book series
