Boye Jumbo Plastic Knitting Needle Pair 14"-Size 50/25mm

I ordered size 50 14-inch needles but I really needed the needles to be longer. So with a hand saw, I sawed off each end of the needles about an inch from the end and took a piece of poster board approximately 9" x 4" and rolled it around each sawed end of each needle. I used scotch tape to secure each end and side and it works just great! I've used circular needles but I find the straight needles much easier to use. The picture shows a 56 inch wide afghan I'm knitting with two strands of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn (available from Amazon) The modified needles are now 21 inches long.

I love these! It took me some time to get used to holding them, because they are huge. I knitted scarves for Christmas gifts using these needles. I did a straight knit using two different colors of super bulky yarn and the loos pattern turned out beautifully. I am a new knitter and a scarf took me about an hour. I would definitely use super bulky yarn, though, otherwise, the knit it is too loose and the strands catch very easily and warp what you are making.

Wanted for broomstick lace. Works. Wish the top was slightly bigger

I insist that my crafting tools be of high quality, but well-priced. These fit the bill for me.I was a little afraid they might tend to bend or break, but they are sturdy and solidly made.I bought them for broomstick lace crochet techniques, but I can also see myself using theseto knit with a super bulky yarn as well.

I am new to knitting and wanted to try out some giant needles..these are HUGE!! But easy to work with and light..made a scarf in a few hours and one ball of yarn.

If you order these jumbo needles, you better make sure they're completely, 100% what you want. I'm new to knitting and I ordered these needles b/c I thought bigger would be easier to hold, but these things are HUGE. Way too big for my hands. I'd like to return them but I have to pay for shipping. The total cost of my transaction was $8.77 and when I tried to return these, I found that I have to pay for shipping or have it deducted by the seller if I go thru UPS, which was going to cost me $5.14 so basically, to return these, I was going to get $3.63 back. I guess I'll just keep them. Maybe I can yard sell them or something :/

They are decent, work fine. theres not a hell of a lot to say, i dont know why x amount of words are required, makes one not want to do this at all.

They are fun. Knit blankets and cozy winter sweaters in a couple of days as make up so quickly
