Superman: Birthright: DC Compact Comics Edition

A great tale for fans of superman, both new and old, my personal favorite story of the character, definitely worth the money. Arrived in perfect contition.

It was a gift, but the person who received it really loved

Superman!!! It’s a great book, but my spine came slightly damaged. Doesn’t bother me though!

If you want a Superman story that understands who this character is and why he means so much to so many, this is a great starting point.

Perfect, arrived on time and in good shape.

Although it is rare that people don’t know who the Man of Steel is and what his origins are, I still highly recommend this to people that want to get to know the timeless character better. Superstar creators Mark Waid, Leinil Yu, and Gerry Alanguilan have retold the origin of Superman with more modern and relevant themes throughout the story. The characters are written well and their designs are great. I didn’t want to put it down when I read it, highly, highly recommended for anyone that wants to read Superman.

Mark Waid is one of my favorite comic writers. He make his characters feel real with flaws and fears. At the same time shows the best qualities of humanity in them. This is a good example of his ability to do so and even If it is no the best one I read from him, I still recommend it to any comic fan that enjoys a good story.

Bella storia con protagonista l'intramontabile Superman, e plot molto interessante. Disegni veramente belli. Immancabile per o fans. Amazon sempre ineccepibile.

Man this story I was worried would be boring cause it’s just an origin of Superman. And honestly how many times will I hear his origin story? But this story, I don’t know how and why I never read it. But it was amazing. I don’t think it does anything super new or drastic. But it’s just enjoyable and does small stuff that I have not seen. The art is nice and everything is readable at this size. I’m so happy with it. Only negative is the copy I received had a few creases on the spine and dents and scratches and smudges on the cover so it definitely was used and I obviously paid for a new one. I did end up exchanging it for a new one that’s in good condition for no extra cost so I’m happy.

El libro llegó en estupendas condiciones y en el tiempo especificado. Una historia sólida con un argumento entretenido y buen arte.

This has been one of my favourite origin stories of Superman. I am old enough to remember the first movie staring Christopher Reeves. This book is right up there what that movie. Bring a continuity lover. I love that they took elements of Smallville and other tv series and managed as well as staying true to the core comic material. I much prefer Lex as a ruthless villain to the more likeable character he played in Smallville. I like how they explained Clark/Superman being more worldly. I really liked what how they explained Clark's "disguise" it made much more sense. As well as his reasons for not wearing a mask. I also liked the reason for Clark's attraction to Lois Lane. I love Leinil Yu's artwork from the first time I saw it in a Wolverine comic. I love everything about this book, even a bit of the full circle at the end. Always the mark of a 5 star book is as soon as it was finished. I want more! I would love another book in this universe I the there are a couple of plot lines left to tie up.
